Hi! I have been taping shows since 1988. I currently have 3 cameras- Canon HFG10, Canon HFG30, and Canon HF200. I also use a Rode Video Pro Stereo Videomic.. hence the name. I now, it is goofy, but that is kind of who I am anyway. Over the years, my equipment has been:
1988-1992 Aiwa CV-80 (Sony ECM-909 mic 1989-1992)
1992-1999 Sony TR-81 Hi8 camera w/stock mic
1999-2002 Panasonic DV camera w/stock mic
2002-2006: Semi-retirement from taping ;-)
2006-2008: Panasonic ADVC30 w/Shure VP88 mic
2008-2010: Semi retirement
2010-2013: Canon HFM30, HF200, HFG10/30.
2013-2015: Canon HFG10/30/40.
2015-present: Canon HFG10/30/40/gopro
I record shows in Sacramento and the bay area primarily, but will travel at times as well.

These videos are intended to be free, never sold. Bands, if you ever want to use this footage for any reason, please contact me at shaynestacy@hotmail.com. It's yours. I am not looking to make money off this, it's merely my hobby.

Some of the greatest melodic rock,,, melodies are where the songs are or aren't,,,

Saw this tour in Fayetteville, AR but the Doughboys (sadly) weren't with them. Bug kept exposing his wiener from the side of the stage in time with the beat, and Karl's bass rig was so loud it made my teeth hurt. Fun show!

It’s crazy to think that when Rhett is talking about the “new record”, and kinda apologizing about playing so many songs off it, he’s referring to the bonafide classic “Too Far To Care”.

oh my goodness. i went to look thru youtube to find their roots and just go through from there since ive watched a couple shows in the 2000s and the recent lolapalooza. their humble beginnings are ASTONISHINGLY impressive! its cool to see how the group evolved and how abe wasnt here yet. chi and steph are super awesome and the reggae riffs that transition back to their metal rock sound is crazy. i wasnt that aware how much people experimented with rock like this! what i love the most about this is how chino's voice is a lot more exposed vocally with singing and not yet the hard core stuff he worked up to later on! his tone is so beautiful. thanks for sharing this dude.

When I was in high school, I noticed that the Fugazi live archive had a recording of their set from the night they played with Op Ivy on their 1988 tour, saying that it came from a VHS recording. I wrote to Discord, and Ian MacKaye responded himself and kindly gave me a recording on a DVD of the Fugazi and Operation Ivy sets in Providence Rhode Island at a club called the Rocket. I could never get it to work !

Hey man , my best friend is Brendan’s son, the drummer of TFC, and I’m a huge fan on of Wilco/Jeff Tweedy in general so it’s really amazing knowing he toured with Uncle Tupelo, do you know of or have any footage/more audio of the two together, thanks.

Wendy O' Matik is doing spoken word with Adrienne. ALso the band playing is not Spitboy. You can tell by the backing vocals but also the song style (guitar tone, beats etc.) Perhaps its that political band fro Canada that would come to town 2-3 times a year.

BLoodtest are from the East Bay with ties in the scene of bands living and playing in West Oakland. I believe this show they played with Fibulator, A Minor Forest and was a benefit for the radical space Long Haul Info Shop. The flier i have for it was made by Elisa most known for keeping the Purple House floating the last 30+ years (Elisa also co-created Slingshot newspaper & the Info Shop, East Bay Food Not Bombs....and will drink me under the table in either beer or coffee) Maybe members of BLoodtest were in a late 1990's group called Toychestra--who performed songs on toys. I believe BLoodtest has a cd release..but this show shreds balls
