We are Liz and Alex and we make outdoor adventure and travel videos. We strongly believe that dreams are meant to be pursued, and we hope to motivate others to get outside their comfort zones and do the same. We feel the most alive and have the most personal growth when we push ourselves outside of our comfort zone and know others will as well.
In 2019 we quit our jobs to travel the world for a planned 1.5 years and started documenting it here on RU-vid, which while the trip didn't go as long as planned due to the state of the world in 2020, we were able to develop a love for video creation. Before going back to full-time work again we took on one last big adventure of bikepacking 1,000 miles of the Great Divide Mountain bike route as complete beginners. That trip instilled a love for "journey or expedition" type travel and now we plan to continue to document those adventures here on our channel.

I was in Vancouver last August and September. Also spent time in Vancouver island. The Canadians are so friendly, polite and courteous. Loved every one of them. The memories of My stay in Vancouver and Vancouver island are completely dedicated to them.
Good to see you back on the bikes! 1. My go to is Life Saver gummies - berry when I can find them. 2. Where did you park in Port Angeles for future reference? Thanks for the video.
I love Life Saver Gummies! We just parked in a parking lot near the ferry terminal, it’s pretty small, but I think it’s fine if you get there early enough
I really enjoyed watching your video. You have such a nice way of storytelling and taking us a long the way of your adventure. I just found your channel and will watch the other videos you published. ☺️🦦
Could have parked free at my place (Warmshowers host) in Port Angeles! Such a great route and there's many more on Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast. Thanks for the video!
Expensive because you are in Papua... Everything are expensive in Papua... So for Papuan for 1 person cost 3million IDR a month... Only for basic needs and food... Not for paying rent and others bills
I am going to generalise: e-bikes should be banned from bike and shared paths. They are invariably ridden by people that go way too fast and don't know what they are doing. They belong on the road, and the cars have to learn to share the space with them.
What a wonderful adventure this was for you. We eagerly anticipated every Sunday episode and enjoyed coming along on the ride. Very well done and thank you so much.
My wife and I are avid bikepacking enthusiasts. We were planning on do the same section, because we also completed the divide trail in ‘23, but changed plans when we heard the forest fires closed sections of the trail. The breakdown was unfortunate….I had the same issue with my bike on a trip…Ugh! All of the extra weight can wreak havoc on drivetrains. Still,….looked like an exciting trip! Also,…have you tried Food for the Sole freeze dries? Safe travels!
I love the kindness of strangers, I think you may be right about the extra vulnerability. Really enjoying the videos, I've just come across them - subscribed!
Im re-watching this series as I'm getting ready to head back out there in a couple of weeks... I think I missed that same turn at Poorman Road last year! I rode about a mile before figuring it out.
Thanks for sharing! Im goin to colombia next month and this is exactly that stuff i was looking for that all those other “things to do” video & blogs dont show or talk about as they only focus on the touristy things
@@PursuingMountains The orangutan site was a non profit reintroducing domestic pets to the wild. I believe that organization stopped operation some time ago and was replaced by today's groups. I took a ferry from Georgetown Malaysia to Medan. Riding in Medan the traffic was bad and the air pollution was worse. Little traffic and lots of climbs riding toward Ache. What a shame that that city of a quarter million people was wiped out in the tsunami of 2004.
You guys should go back to bike the rest of the GDMBR from the Tetons South. My brother and I will be bike the same route as you did. We'll be starting mid August this year and bike from Whitefish, MT to the Tetons NP. Definitely looking forward to the trip. Hoping for better weather though! :D
That was a planning mistake. For those reading and planning. After Pfunds you have to stay right of the medieval structure, follow the Inn Radweg and reach Nauders through Switzerland (Martina and the Norbertshöhe) via "Claudia Augusta".
Just bought a dabrim a month ago because I saw it on your guys channel. You guys have inspired my wife and I to tackle the great divide mountain bike route. Best investment I made for my long rides, sun hoodies are awesome as well.
