Hi. Thanks for sharing the wonderful video. Did you make this trip with Millekul adventures? Do you think that if I come to Misol on my own, is it possible to rent a kayak at the homestay? Thank you
We did the trip our own and bought the kayak in Jakarta. You can bring it via plane to sorong and then per ship to raja ampat. Our homestay did not rent kayaks. Till now I do not know where to rent kayaks in Misool except doing a trip with Millekul.
Beautiful video, Manuel! I'm in love with Raja Ampat. I was there in January, in the north. I would love to go to Misool next time. The coral looks so colourful there, more than the north! Subscribed!
Wow ! Amazing ! We are going to Misool on next monday with our kayak ! Its hard to find someone who already did a kayaktrip un Misool !😅 May i ask you few questions? Feel free to answer :) - is there dangerous places that locale forbidden you to go? (Sea crocodiles for exemple) - we have Hammocs/tent to sleep in, did you slept a lot in tent? - do you recomend a homestay? Merci pour your help ! I really enjoyed your video !
Hi, of course you can ask questions. Kayaking in Misool is awesome. As of my knowledge, there is no place forbidden to go. There are no dangerous animals which would make kayaking unsave, so you can really enjoy kayaking there. What needs a little bit to be considered is the current between the islands and the tide. We stayed 3 days in a tent an 10 days in a homestay. for sure your homestay can give recommendations where and when to go with your kayak and regarding places to camp. You can also ask the homestay to bring you food and water to the camping site. regarding homestays we used Google Maps to find some. I will paste also a link with a list of homestays. you can contact them via WhatsApp and they usually also can send some additional pictures. We personally stayed in Yapap Homestay. but there are also a couple of other homestays which will be a good starting point for kayak trips like yamni homestay or Nut Tonton. Nut Tonton has AC, the others do not have AC.
Hi Marie, that sounds like an amazing plan. I do not speak French so I used google translate. If I understand your question correctly you want to go to Raja Ampat in Summer. I guess it is north raja ampat right? This video is from Misool, south raja ampat. The weather condition in Misool is dangerous for kayaking during European summer time. The recommended time to go to Misool is End of October - March.
@@ManJaIndo yes we have already plane ticket between 11 juiy and 19 august. I dont want to make a big expédition because of the risky weather at this season. But we have our own kayak ( inflatable gumotex) and would like navigate from homestays 1, 2 or 3 days max. I though Misool and Batanta because it is protected from the south. North RA isn't protected from th south. Is that wrong?
@@marie-floreblondelot6636 I have no experience with kayaking in north raja ampat. However in Misool South raja ampat i think it is not possible to do kayaking during July and August. It is correct that there are lot of small islands, however there is a strong current between the islands and combined with the waves it is dangerous. Most of the homestays close anyway due to the bad weather. You can contact the homestays via whatsapp and ask for more information. I will paste you a link to a website with homestays and their phone Numbers. As there is no internet connection at most of the homestays, you will need to wait for a while until they reply.
