Hei. Kjempe informativ video. Har nettopp kjøpt en lr4 og så er jeg usikker på hvilke 18" felger som passer pga bremser. Har du info på felgene du har kjøpt?
God I did grin. When these were made they were just slapped together without a care. You are doing a far better job than land rover techs ever did with the 88. Nice work.
Awesome! I too am restoring a rear tub (for a Lightweight). Your tips on epoxy painting are great, I'll absolutely be doing that before I put the tub straps and support members.
The moment I saw that green colour and the white wheels in the very first frame, I knew this vid was going to be about an old landy. Consider me very jealous.
Hello, Love your videos! Are you using epoxy primer on bare aluminium or are you using etch primer first? I repainted some new doors with etch and then 1k primer as my base primer and I’m not happy with how the paint has taken to the bare metal. I feel like I should have used epoxy.
I acid wash the aluminum before paint, then directly go to epoxy. Didn’t want any primer under the epoxy that could hold moisture and landed on this method after talking with my local paint garage 👍
Just came back to this video because I'm on a Norway trip myself. Already have seen several huge overlanding vehicles mostly from my German countrymen. Seeing these Unimogs is cringe to me and I wonder what their plans are for their stay in beautiful Norway.
You mentioned you're planning to sell the 109 and travel/live in the 88? I will be very interested to see how you will fit everything inside! The more I look at these old Land rovers, them more I want to get one!
One in a hundred Landrover owners, that is what you are sir we had one recently who took all the Landrovers from our workshop junkyard,he turned up in the old square shape Range Rover that he had turned into single cab trayback utility and it was immaculate
Мне нравится мой Дискавери 3. Но замучил, ошибками, чеками. И никак в автосервисе не могут решить проблему. Машина технически вся обслужена. Придётся вернуться к Мерседес-Бенц. Бенц
Dont forget the Vanlife thing. There is the same problem. And Sweden has the same problem. If you used to camping you respect the nature but if this is something new to you .....
German here living in Norway. There are a lot of tourists from Germany that post their history on instagram or other social media. All of them are talking about the beautiful untouched nature they want to see and enjoy. At the same time they make footprints in this nature that need 25 years before they are gone. Some tourist doesn’t use a campsite with toilets, no they are using the wood or strawberry area in private gardens and marking the poo with wet wipes… But it’s always the same, some ignorant people ruin it for everyone…
German here with a "big rig" that is planning to travel Norway with his family this summer. First of all: Thank you so much for bringing this up. 2) I am deeply sorry for such a behavior. 3) Really curious question: What is a good source of information on what is allowed, what is considered offroad etc? 4) where would you recommend us to go? I absolutely hope this is the exception and we will leave a better impression when we visit your beautiful country.
