I get most inspired by music that I listen to and in my head I already work around scenes and frames that fit to the music. When I edit I always try to edit scenes on the rhythm of the music, so it feels natural to the viewer. I also adjust the lyrics to the scenes and work with aesthetics of these scenes. I work with audio files which support certain scenes and what I want to express with the video. You can also try working with a theme for your video and put everything around it. My best advice is that you should just try it out and get inspired by the footage that's there and don't hesitate or be afraid to fail. And a good Video includes hq footage and music which is always key to reach a broader audience. I hope this could help you. :)
@@mitjamackenzie1219 sometimes with certain music I get copyrighted, but the videos will only be blocked. Usually you can use footage from movies, TV-shows etc for creative purposes which is somehow a grey area and that's why I never monetized my videos either. I usually get the footage from youtube. You cannot actually get the footage completely legal from DVD's or streaming websites or any platform, (at least in Germany) so I use RU-vid and clips from there because I think it's a grey area. It's a struggle sometimes because there isn't always hq footage, but that's mostly from where I get it.
@@mitjamackenzie1219 You need an editing program, for example I use Magix 2018. When you downloaded your audios and videos and music. The editing program has multiple tracks where you can put your material and edit it together or overlap audio files with your song, you can just play around and find out what works. I usually make a file for each video, you put your downloaded videos in there and put in the program. It's easier to organize it as well.
