I can’t wait to vote him out of this seat! For starters Mayor Mims has made our beautiful city a sanctuary for illegal immigrants! Funneling our tax dollars to illegal immigrants, giving the little resources we have to non-citizens, who haven’t paid a dime in taxes on the federal or state level! These illegal immigrants have flooded our communities with drugs and crime! Dayton has gone through a major transformation for the worst! Whether it be job employment, house ownership, and school graduation rates, drugs, and violence! I was fortunate enough to have grown up in Dayton when it was a beautiful city to live in, not just in predominantly white suburbs but also on the middle class black side of town. I remember the Salem Mall, Cinema North, Elderbeerman, Target, Walmart, Applebees, Red Lobster, Hills, K-Mart, Best Buy, Baskin Robins, Dunkin Donuts, ect. Back when the Black community actually had more than one funky ass grocery store (Krogers)to shop at! We literally have one major grocery store when we use to have multiple grocery stores within a 10 mile range. Back when Salem Ave had just as many shopping options as a Huber Heights does or West Carrollton does… These elected officials have totally dismantled our livelihoods on the black side of town by allowing all commercial businesses to be out of our proximity so other communities can benefit from the sales tax of our dollars being spent outside of our community. This was strategically done to the Black community in Dayton. They have diminished our schools system by allowing charter schools to replace public schools. Where a public school requires teachers to actually have a degree in education. So if the teachers aren’t certified, are they actually challenging our children to maximize their ability? This city is in complete crisis from bad leadership on the local level. We must improve our city by putting the right people in position to succeed. We must put our life long Daytonians first instead of illegal immigrants!!! Mayor Mims I challenge you to change your policies on Dayton being a sanctuary city. I challenge you to put Dayton community first. I challenge you to build up the black community who helped get you elected in the first place. We need repair on our side of town! We need opportunity on our side of town! We need a hospital on our side of town! We need real leadership for all of Dayton not just the suburbs where it’s predominantly non blacks living. We wake up everyday just like everyone else and go to work, we pay our taxes, we send our children to school I hopes of them receiving an education that will prepare them for the future! I challenge you Mayor Mims to do better for the Black Daytonians who look just like you and your family.

Dayton Police just piss me off! when are you going to THROW AWAY this KNOWN drug dealer and gang member away (BLAKE ALEXANDER) needs arrested asap selling drugs to minors… the drugs are in his home in suitcases, he sells in and out of state. drives around the city for hours.
You mention the penalty of jail time for these violations. Has anyone in Dayton been imprisoned for housing violations? I hope so. We definitely need increased civil penalties too, and LLCs to be held accountable. One LLC can own dozens of homes in Dayton, which should also be ILLEGAL. No company should own residential properties/single family homes.
