Hi I'm AdamC and I attend car shows. I record modified cars, supercars, classics and more, at a great variety of shows, meets and events, mostly in the UK. This is my channel, home to the 4th-most-viewed car show video in the world and some of the craziest driving ever seen on public roads.
Found your channel initially through your hilarious Rufford Ford commentaries...so glad I did.... it's so much more... fantastic content..and wow, congrats on the new car.. what a beauty and well done Adam, you deserve it mate! looking forward to content!
Having watched these videos for years, and met Adam a few times, i'm always interested to see how he finances or affords his multiple vehicles for such a young lad... - I'm happy for him that he is able to do so, just intrigued to see how its possible (did he sell one, or financed or land of priviledge) just interested.....
So what we are saying is if you want to commit a serious crime it's best to wait for the evening a car meet is on as the whole police force are walking around carparks looking at parked cars?
If it ever gets airborne, there is nothing there to absorb the shock, so all of the pressure is going to hit the tires , axles and the frame. You need shocks, but considering this is a pedal based kart, I guess you will never exceed 7 mph anyways.
Social media and event organisers literally telling the police where they are going. There are people snitching everywhere. I found out the hard way when police were waiting to block us in at an event, only to find out one of the organisers had been working with the police and had essentially snitched on 100s of people. It all used to be fluid organised via cell phones, then for some reason people thought Facebook was a better way to organise.
Some meets that are under the radar are leaked to Police by Touts. People not in the car scene but show up at the meets and inform the police of the location.
If the amount of police presence at well behaved car meets was mirrored elsewhere, maybe we'd see a fall in actual street crime.... you know, like watch stores getting robbed, thievery on the streets in broad daylight, stabbings, assaults.... you know, things that probably matter more?
You 100% made the correct decision. Financially the jury will always be out, but you had the opportunity to achieve a dream.....life will come to the point where these options aren't available. Buy it, enjoy it, live it....enjoy those memories and don't look back on regrets.
Reading JAPANESE meet.. it USED to be primarily Japanese cars, it was a cool, safe environment where people which had sunk thousands into their cars all went and met likeminded people. reading Japanese meet was my first ever car meet at the prime age of 18. i rode shotgun with my best mate and i was wowed by the cars, kickstarting my passion for the cars. as someone who worked hard to buy every single mod for my cars, i spent countless hours building my cars, i met so many friends whom i am still close with to this day. we don't go to these meets anymore. none of us. scroll back through Adams videos from years ago you'll see what im talking about, this meet was all about showing off your builds and meeting great people along the way who would share their vast knowledge and i could pass on any of my own. we earned our cars. now fast forward to modern day, there's so few Japanese cars, so few true builds. last reading jap meet i went to, 4 people crashed in one night. THAT is why people who build really cool stuff do not attend anymore. people are still building cool stuff, nobody is willing to risk their £5k,£10,k£15k etc pride and joy be destroyed by a financed idiot owner who went from a Wv polo as their first car to (normally) an M140i, golf R etc owner. i will rustle peoples feathers by saying this, but honestly, the state of the car scene is a disgrace. police have always been present at meets. but back when the original owners held these nights, police were a very friendly face and often would engage in car talk with us. they loved it. now they are verbally abused, sometimes physically abused. the people in the car scene have nobody to blame but themselves. i removed myself because i did not want to be associated with the immaturity in the "scene". maybe people have changed, maybe im old and no fun anymore. either way, the reality is, if you want meets to stop being "ruined" by police, treat them a little nicer. they are people like you and i. stop endangering the public with idiocy. im not saying it never happened before. but it wasnt anywhere near as often.. if someone did a skid they generally knew how to hold it..not bin it into crowds like most of these people are doing now.
