♃ Producer/songwriter ♁ I used to upload other ppls music back when automated uploads weren't a thing. Unmonetized, just because I liked it and wanted to share it. Now I make my own stuff sometimes, but I have other channels upload it. We've come full circle.
I would love to see if Deftones has done a version of the song. I'm going to have to do some research to see if they already have and if they haven't I highly suggest they would try I think they would do pretty well. Or even TOOl or SLIPKNOT
I absolutely love the original Phil Collins version of the song, one of my all-time faves! While I love in this moment and it has always been a huge part of my twenties seeing them in concert with some of the best times I've had even though I caught her lip syncing but still she was able to put on an amazing show. But this version doesn't hold up to the original. The original is a legit masterpiece.
Interesting and likeable take on the original. I think many ppl were expecting a faithful replication of the gated drum sound that Phil made famous. She captures the intensity - more in a Peter Gabriel sort of way :)
I’m having a black wedding and I’m so nervous about it Bc I have SO much judgmental family members who I know are going to scoff and shit talk about it being non traditional. My grandma being one in particular who let me know to my face mid conversation, cut me off, just to tell me she HATED my septum ring despite her seeing it every time I see her. She also scoffed and pleaded I stop getting tattoos 🙄 I only have 3 tattoos... (2 at the time) a bee, a moon, and now a cowboy hat. I plan on having a full patchwork leg and arm sleeve before my wedding just to piss ppl off a little extra more 🥴 I also know my fiancé has some very religious ppl on his side of his family who I’ve yet to meet but my gut tells me they are going to heavily disapprove. Does anyone have any advice on how to stop being anxious about family’s opinions!??
I think having a black wedding is cool afff and its rare. Don't be so anxious about them talking about you, Its YOUR life not theirs you only have one so live it the way YOU want to not them. Tattoos are hella cool!
What I did to stop caring what family thinks is to just kinda let them go. They obviously dont accept you, they think little of you just bc you're living the life you want to live. They're very judgmental people, seem rude and mean, so who cares what they think? They clearly don't understand much about who you are and they want to change you, theyre bad people, so who cares what they think? Hope that helps some
Uh... just be you? Family approval is imporant, but it's more imporant that they accept you for you, and not who you pretend to be. Don't conform or sell yourself short, but don't go out of your way to rub who you are in their face. Just be you, be happy, make him happy. If they don't come around don't let it weigh you down, but try and show them that you're a beautiful and positive person despite their preconceived notions.
I know I'm late by putting this comment here, but it would be interesting for Maria to do something with Mike Patton. Just my two cents, as she's worked with so many other unique people.
