Your video should be a compulsory watch for apprentices so that they can get a better understanding of gearboxes and ratios. But don't give them that screwdriver m8. Cheers from down under

A local haulier near me had the first Foden 4000 series truck fitted with the N14 525 engine in the UK. He was the chief test owner / driver for Cummins and the new engine at the time. It was finished in an eye catching green and gold livery and spent most of its time hauling agricultural bulk loads of grain and lime and quarry products. It always sounded great when you heard it on the road.
@johnyjakebrake5825 Not that I can recall, it drove well. I stripped the gearbox when it was around 18 months old as it wouldn't change gear smoothly. You've made a wonderful job of restoring it, would love to see it again.
I mot'd that around 2005ish at Wolverhampton gvts when I joined dvsa . Kevin is a grand chap. She's a lovely looking lorry and sounds sweet . Top job on the colours

Very Informative. I Don’t know why all the light trucks manufacturers didn’t just use some of the light 10 speeds like a RT-510 which according to Eaton is rated at 950 ft lbs at max load. I’m sure a Overdrive could be added. The same weight as a NV5600. If semi synchros were needed I’m sure they would have added those. As long as it could be floated without damage it would be better than anything they’ve ever used. It would have saved so many owners, particularly Cummins owners so much headache.
E 14 with 365 cummins pulling full weight along the a71 snaking and bending at night, driving it properly was such a satisfying and enjoyable experience I was 23 years old 1998
