My quest 3’s cooling fan isn’t working could you help me with it? I can’t find any videos and I don’t want to go out to get it fixed if I could do it myself..
The sweetspot on my Pico Neo 3 Pro isn't as you characterize it. Up and down its as you describe ... but left and right drop off immediately from the center with anything beyond the middle 1 cm of the lens 'streaking' inwards. I wonder why this is and why we have different impressions of the same headset

On my old motherboard, I have a few USB 3.0 and a few 2.0. I got a longass 3.2 gen 2 cable, thinking that the best would obviously work. Well no it doesn't, not on any of the 3.0 ports. It however does, on any of the 2.0 ports. I have a short cable that came with an 8bitDo controller, which I believe to be USB 2 (well the Quest says it's linked through USB 2), that one works too, plugged to a 3.0 port. Can't even try the cable that comes with the Quest 3, as it's USB C to C :( So, for me 3.0 just doesn't work, other than for charging.
I use USB C to 3.5mm but I use KIWI design Noise-Isolating in-Ear Headphones for VR headsets. The cables are very short and one cable is shorter than the other for left and right ear. They are the only ones I will use and got a set for my son for his VR headset.
For my 9 birthday I got my meta qwest 2 I was so happy so started playing my favorite games but then after a few days I got banned and it made me very sad I was playing normally and I got banned for no reason😭😭😭😭😭
Agree, since it randomly works , especially when power off ./ on headset a few times, the speeds seem to work better. Example, I just now tried Meta Cable , with Quest turned off(not complete shutdown) and turned back on the bandwidth went from 2.1 , turn back on to 2.4 Gbps. Gives me hope that it's on the headset and can be fixed/increased via software
SAme, Only go with Intel & Nvidia... i7 & 4080 super.. There are enough troubleshooting happening... Adding non Standards to the mix just complicates troubleshooting
Thank you so much for this, though i still need one more to test a hypothesis, it seems like on the quest 2 everything seems to look better on the pc screen than on the quest 2 itself
I would be curious to know why the Q3 could overheat using a PC. Even at 90hz I would assume the processing is less when just displaying a game running on the PC than rendering the full game in standalone.
I don't think you understand how the IR light works. You don't need more than 1, the purpose of the IR illuminator is to work as a flood light, you can aim it at the ceiling and the IR cameras on the headset will work just as well as with visible light. I doubt you use 2 lights on your room, or need anything else other than ambient light during the day to play.
Virtual Desktop app + PC with gigabit ethernet + WiFi 6 for quest = the best result. And buy good ethernet cables is far simpler - but you will have the best result with PCVR without tweaking additional settings like with cables
PSA according to the quest 3 specs the max data bandwidth for the type c port is 5gbps anyway so it's not really taking advantage of cables with a higher bandwidth. Also when it's Gb it's gigabits, gigabytes is GB
Also another bottleneck is the i/o on the PC whether it's USB 3.0,3.1,3.2 etc. so the fastest cable won't necessarily make a difference depending on the setup. Also also, at least with the meta battery head strap the passthrough port is only for charge not data so you can't have the extra battery plugged in and a link cable at the same time
