Just enjoying “life’s little adventures.” We’re a middle-aged, central Texas couple, that started this channel with the idea of documenting our adventure into our first cruise. When our cruise got canceled due to the 2020 pandemic, we decided to continue the channel, with videos documenting life’s periodic, little adventures. We have told family and friends, that we never know what our weekends will bring. Our adult children and grandchildren, can often cause our weekends to go from zero to a hundred miles an hour very quickly, and that’s just fine with us. It keeps us young at heart, and on our toes. wow bravo momma D I was soo waiting for the update. I've got my sleeve at Pompeii on june 27th so far since the beggining so 2 weeks diet liquid and now one more week post one i've lost .8 lb so it's discoraging but you make me feel better thank you so much! You look very good we can see the change

Love this document format. I know you were so nervous Diana. I would have been too. I also know the prep for the surgery is hard. Two weeks on a liquid diet is so hard! Again, I hope you're doing well. We need to get that awning out of our attic and down to your house. Hopefully in May we can bring it down. The next few weeks are are busy, I'm sure you are too. Matt had major dental surgery and he's been recovering from that. Ironically Matt and Diana were on a liquid diet at the same time! 😊 Gotta say, no HIPAA in Mexico, it was so strange hearing your pre-op neighbor's medical history. Would suck to be allergic to the good pain meds!!! 😮 She was SOOOO pale after the surgery! I would have been terrified seeing how pale she was, I would have been scared about blood loss. I am not a squeamish person, but seeing people I care about in obvious pain hurts me physically and makes me feel weak, probably because I feel so helpless to get rid of their discomfort. I'm so glad you show day two, because she looks so much better, maybe a little pale, but heaps better than immediately after the surgery. Hernia surgery is very uncomfortable, I had a hernia repair in 2011 and had to keep that damn drain in for 2 weeks, it ended up getting infected and I had to go into the hospital on IV antibiotics. So glad they didn't make you keep that drain long-term! Ever since then those things make me fear they are more risk than benefit.
That is truly understandable. Momma D was nervous also before she got there. After seeing the surgical center and the meeting the staff, her fears subsided. I’m sure that’s what will happen for you too. Best of luck on your new journey. Please keep everyone posted on the FB support page. 🙏😀

The only proof Momma D has, is that she used to have a slight bump just below her diaphragm whenever she ate too much. We always thought it may have been a problem with her gallbladder, but since the surgery, that bump is gone and no pain. And he told us her gallbladder was in good shape. Btw, there was no extra charge to us for this, due to the fact we paid for the “upgraded package.”

At the time, I was unaware they were even discussing it in the background, but the patient was very aware that I was filming, and did not dispute it at the time. Also I purposefully did not film the patient, at the time, and informed them I was doing so. My apologies.

As far as keeping track of the people that sign up, Matt, our friend that was in charge, just used a note pad, as he collected the money from them (everyone that wanted to play chipped in $20). The machine was set on $5 per spin. Each person had four spins in their turn (the $20 that they gave). We did not track how much was won/lost on each spin. When everyone had their four spins, whatever was the machine total, was payed out equally to all. It was like a total collective. Hope that helped. Thank you for watching. 😀
I bet a video of Momma D making those 🍒 cordials would get lots of views!!! Just saying!! 😊 as someone that has had the blessed honor of eating MD's cordials, I can attest to the fact they are indeed the best chocolate covered cherries I have ever had in my life!

The cruise we just took in October, in Progreso there was a perfect example of why buying excursion thru Carnival pays off. We didn't do an excursion, we just walked around the pier. But there was a group that went to one of the beach clubs. Which was 1.5 hours away from the pier. When they loaded up the bus to head back, the bus broke down. Another bus had to be sent 1.5 hours out there. All in all, they were 2 hours late back to the ship. We waited for the 4 people who would have missed the ship if they had booked thru a 3rd party excursion company. For the drink package, that doctor's note has to be on letterhead and include the doctor's name and phone number so they can verify. Not sure if they have ever verified though, I'll have to ask my doctor! No way I would want to risk getting banned from cruise life by trying to sneak on liquor! That would be so sad!

Thank you watching and commenting. The weather was absolutely perfect. High 70’s and low 80’s. We actually were very fortunate as to the timing of this cruise. We were enjoying the beautiful weather in key west and the Bahamas, while an ice storm was happening back home! 😲 By the time we got back, all was cleared out and better at home. 😀

Hi yall! love your videos of the cruize, momma D i was wondering if the humidity over in Cozmel affects your breathing in any way? We sail november 26th on the dream but so worried about breathing issues. i do wear oxygen and no issues here in the States but so worried about leaving the ship at ports. Temu is all the rage. I ended up sending back all the clothes I bought because polyester irritates my skin. But kept all the other stuff. Unboxing videos are fun!
