The mission of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory's DNA Learning Center is to prepare students and families to thrive in the gene age. We envision a day when all elementary students are exposed to principles of genetics and disease risk; when all high school students have the opportunity to do hands-on experiments with DNA; and when all families have access to genetic information they need to make informed health care choices.

I am 63. I live in Oklahoma. If not for RU-vid Geologists who sent me here out of curiosity I would know none of this., 92 hours toward an accounting degree in 1980 didn't involve non christian possibilities.

What he ate wasn’t “healthy” at all. I was screaming!! I also knew what he ate before she said what he ate. Based on that kind of heart disease she mentioned then I knew it would be mainly animals. Then I knew he would have eaten legumes, with some wheat, rice or even corn at an earlier time, days before. And fruits if he had it. And the smaller amounts such as pollen, was in a desperate bid to heal himself. I can look at a persons face and tell what they eat. One of my coworkers didn’t believe me so I picked a random person in public and told the stranger in front of my friend what she ate. The girl slowly nodded. My friend said “you really eat mainly soups?!?!” The girl nodded. i was laughing very loudly and my friend looked so caught off guard and disturbed about this. LOL

Shipped to Egypt around not long after. Take note, ancient India speaks of Peru & the Americas. There was technology, used by the so called gods. Many resets of civilization occurred since then. 'See Mauro Biglino' about tech & gods. Better than Daniken assertions.

I know you said we are the only homo species on Earth currently, but what about the humans who have skulls who are more similar to the other homo species? I do not mean this for any disrespect. It’s a genuine question. Did the Evolution process not happen fully for all, of can the genome pull genes from far back?

So the footprints, weren’t the like about a size 9 shoe? Also, aren’t they more like a human’s footprint than an ape or chimp like creature? If you have a shoe size of a size 9, wouldn’t that be more like a 5’9” sized individual than a chimp like Lucy? The ardipithecus ramidus has a divergent big toe like a human hand. Therefore, it would be impossible that the footprints were ardipithecus ramidus footprints. In addition, aren’t there issues in correctly dating ash from volcanos? Mt Saint Helen’s proved that to be the case that the ash was found to be hundreds of thousands to millions of years old. Could the answer of the footprints simply be a footprint of a human from a much younger timeline than 3-4 millions ago years ago?

If you can uncover riddles, then you need to explain how living Autistic populations today have higher Neander Scores and Neanderthalized brains and sensory systems and bottom-up (not top down) information processing; why Neanderthalized Autistic populations persist today; and why Neanderthalized Autistic populations are rapidly increasing in number. And, please don't forget the Denisovan component, and the type O Rh negative blood prevalence, as well as blue and green eye and red hair prevalence in Neanderthalized Autistic populations.

Your argument is not at all convincing how the Alu started in Africa and came out of Africa in those percentages. Since we still can't be sure there was no interbreeding between Homo Erectus and out of Africa humans, and don't even know for sure of Homo Erectus actually went extinction later than 100,000 years ago, it actually makes more sense that the Alu jumped into Homo Erectus on China or Indonesia. You also drastically over-simplified your out of Africa model. to exclude interbreeding with Neanderthals and Denisovans. And, you left assortative mating groups out of the equation.

Really great talk from a intelligent and humble scientist. I dont see an issue between intelligent design and evolution. Evolution could itself be part of the intelligent design. Evolution is funny bc we are still left explaining life through teleological phenomena (biological function).

This is why I dislike Behe's term "irreducible complexity". It misses the real issue. It's not about whether you can reduce something, it's about whether it can adapt from very tiny changes over a long period of time. For that reason I like to call it "non-adaptive complexity"

Even though the gel electrophoresis results are not as precise one would still be able to rule out a suspect based on a large difference in size between a sample found at a crime scene and a known suspect’s sample. And then you would probably check more sites than just DS180. Im guessing the chip can then be used if samples look like they somewhat match but to really confirm.
