Hi there. In this application the roof clamp was not needed, the clamping bolt is supplied if needed to reinforce the fitting on some caravan applications with thinner roof construction.
This is a better design , foot and antenna having 4 fixings. There was a single bolt design fitted to my van , it didnt last very long on the roof , came home one day and the antenna was missing. The base foot was still attached to the roof. Got to go buy another now , disappointing if I am honest.
i came home one day and this style antenna was missing off my roof . The foot / mount was still attached to the van. This version doesn't have the 4 fixing screws which seems to be a design flaw in my opinion! I note the newer version has 4 fixing screws instead of the single screw. Also a rubber gasket. Disappointed to have lost the antenna ,as It only lasted 6 months on the roof of my new van. If your buying one of these antenna types, look for the one with the gasket and the 4 fixing screws is my advice. Maybe maxview would like to send me a new design one , i could do a review on it ! 😉
Hello team maxview, i have the extension cables installed, the router installed and configured corectly, SIM ok and activated but I don’t have any signal from the antena in 3g/4g. The mother antena is at 500/800 meter from the vehicule. I don’t understand why. If I move, I manage to get a Little signal but not optimal. Only one or two level of intansity. My speed is 0,3mbits download and 0,4mbits upload 😢😢😢
Hi Tony, thanks for the video. On the amplifier can you attach the leads from the amp power supply to a plug in cigarette type connection, so you just plug it into a 12 v connection in the van, instead of running it to the battery. That way i only use the power when I connect my power to the pitch up power that i use when im caravaning?
Hello @gerlar67. Unfortunately we do not supply a cigarette lighter power adaptor for the Gazelle booster, however you could use one if you found one with the correct plug. We offer a 3-pin 230VAC plug that you could when on electric hook-up however, and our code for this is PSU300.
Hi Martin. Yes, the Roam 5G modem is rated for CAT20 4G, meaning theoretical maximum download speeds of 2000Mbps. In real world testing in good signal areas, you can get 100Mbps to 200Mbps on 4G. In short, on 4G it's really fast, on 5G it's really really fast!
Have just been watching the video with a view to buying this kit, but one thing I am not sure about is that this system is very easy to set up providing that the tripod has been set to level using the built in spirit level. This is all very good if the tripod is positioned on level ground. If this is not the case ( as with many caravan sites ) how do you then set the correct level when it appears that none of the legs of the tripod are adjustable. Has anyone come across this problem and if so what is the remedy. Thank you.
I'm also about to buy this dish, and although you have made a good point, I would suggest keeping a few small squares of thin plywood or similar with you and just tuck them under the leg that needs raising? If not, move the tripod to a slightly different position to find a piece of level ground? You only need to find something to put under a leg to raise it slightly to solve the problem. This dish does look very nicely made I must admit.
Hi Sandra, yes it is a manual satellite system as it is raised, lowered and adjusted by hand and is not motorise. For further details please visit our website
@@joekierman6833 Thanks but it would have been more helpful if you showed and explained how to tune it. The video "looks" like it is self-seeking. Your website details don't explain easily. Please do a video showing tuning in. Thx
