It was very common for both sides to have an affair once the children were produced. Marriage was often contracted between families with no choice on the children's part. Marriage was not a personal decision, it was a duty one was required to fulfill. It was about money, land, power, politics and peace treaties. Marriage was duty. A "Mistress" (on either side) was for emotional love.
This is retarded. Nettles wasn’t just some secondary character; (SPOILER)….. she and Deamon actually have a love affair and that affair is a BIG factor in him drifting away from Rhaenyra for good. God, the writers on this show are such idiots..
Only problem I had with this plot was not just the fact she abandoned the children. It’s the fact they didn’t show the soldiers noticing she was gone and sent at least one or two after her. It could’ve been quick. A mere 10 seconds of showing them looking. She’s Daemon’s daughter. Daemon, the lord of fleabottom, the prince of the city and renowned swordsman of Dark sister. You would think they would be in fear of not only their lives but their very persons if anything had happened to her. What Daemon did to Vaemond would be considered child’s play compared to what he would do to them if she were injured or killed.
I'm with GRRM, they didn't need to omit Nettles from the show. Especially if they were going to end season 2 this way. They could've easily added Nettles during a 10 episode season. The way they've written how Rhaena claims Sheepstealer just feels lazy and her entourage isn't worried that Rhaena isn't with them?
@@Keitek 10 episodes would have been the best. Wonder how they are going to navigate the relationship Nettles had with Daemon, now that Rhaena took her place.
We had more Tessarion than Dreamfyre Iam not sad by this, I love Tessarion but Syrax had like twenty times more than Tessarion, Dreamfyre and Sunfyre together
Rhaena abandoning her responsibilities regarding Joffrey, Aegon, and Viserys to chase her dream of claiming a dragon. Bravo , well done. 😑 At least Sheepstealer’s design was lit.
