As a machinist and Shiro fan, i think a lot of their work is praised as being amazing when really its "just" on the lowest end of great, but this one looks pretty impressive. The clearances between the blade and backspacer are basically porn, to me.
That exact detail continues to blow my mind every time. (I spent almost a decade working as a precision machinist as well.) The Shirogorov brilliance (and rep) truly shines through on these Custom Division models. You should see this one's CF 'twin,' the Stellaris. It's an even tighter fit than this! I had to use a magnifying glass to assure myself that the blade tip wasn't touching the backspacer!
Quite a lot at this point. Only 50 were made + sold via lottery. The only way to purchase one these days is on the secondary market. They command ~3x what they cost via lottery. 🤯
Oh boy, you are in for a treat! The Voodoo is cool, but the Raikou is his best design (in my view). I think you're going to LOVE it! (And it will look GREAT in that blue!)
Thank you! This was a Limited Edition run, so is no longer available for purchase except on the secondary market. Prices vary depending upon the condition of the specimen. (The original value was ~$1700.)
You actually can, but I find it a bit too cumbersome to utilize with any regularity. The knife is very small, and the hole is challenging to 'grip' without some practice. That said: it is possible!
Believe it or not, I am self-employed. But I don't still own every piece I've ever shared on this channel. Many have been sold in order to fund new acquisitions. That said, THIS one is a for-all-time keeper, as are most of the heavy hitters I've been sharing recently. I used to have a much larger collection. But quality beats quantity all day. I'd rather have one PERFECT piece than 10 "decent" options. That obviously costs. But it is worth it.
