Join Aus and Ku, two middle-age American white men as they embark on the journey of a lifetime reacting to the best and worst K-Pop videos of all time.
I'm not sure if you've heard but they've confirmed their US tour by the end of the year! 😊 hopefully more US fans would get to see them this time since their last US con was in 2022 😊
Hyundai Grandeur! It was the Caddy of Asia in the 80's - THEE muscle/luxury car driven by CEO's and mob bosses. This is the same model car Suga drove in Daechwita, but they are not classics. The ones in the MV's are the new electric version out now.
These reactions have come at such a good time I was reminiscing with you guys - I really hope you can mix in some live mamamoo reactions like you do with other groups on the channel I fell in love with Mamamoo's live vocals. Since you;ve done Piano Man - potentially the Gaon Chart Awards 2015 Mamamoo performance would be great or any Mamamoo Um Oh Ah Yeah live performance! If you can
Thank you for reacting to That, That! Towards the end of the MV, Psy is wearing a purple outfit and purple sunglasses as a nod to the BTS ARMY! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜OT7
The car is the same type that was in SUGA's Daechwita video. It is a Hyundai Grandeur. Apparently it was a car that all the cool guys had at a time. I think it was from somewhere in the mid 1980's.
Also theres a video a live performance of both of them during Psy'sSummer Swag Concert 2022 when Suga's surprised appearance which is cool and a video of Psy's soecial appearance during Siga's Solo World tour concert in seoul.
Little Easter eggs for you: @dariajaruszkiewicz4126 mentioned the car being the same one in Daechwita except the colors are different. The other is Psy wears the same blue tux jacket from the Gangnum Style mv while he is next to that car. It's also very cool that the flock of birds just happen to be flying above them when shooting that spot where you froze it to do your commentary. 💜💜💜
Both the legends!! Suga produced this song for Psy and he thought he'll just produce it but then later slowly Psy talked into him to be also featured in this song. This is probably the first comedic song that Suga produced and sing as Suga known aggressive and raw for his songs( when he is doing a solo project under his other name Agust D) among the 7 members. Please react Suga's trilogy songs first part DAECWITA as Suga aka Agust D buikding a storyline here then followed by HAEGEUM it's kind of sequel and tge last part AMYGDALA its the conclusion. Thank you.
My favourite is Mingi.. he's so handsome 😍 ❤ I love ATEEZ.. saw their concert when they came to Singapore and truly enjoyed every moment. I've been their fan since 2018, when they first debuted 🎉
BTW, you should react to more crack songs, like: Taller than you", "Sleep in the car" - no MV, but there's a live performance with lyrics. I can't share links, but this is the title: "Mamamoo - Sleep in the car - Show Music core 20180721". This song is kind of the sequel for "Taller than you", because when they made the MV for 1cm, some of them had to sleep in the car with makeup on. Also, their Pokemon OST cover is madness too!😅
Enjoying your MMM vids very much! How I found MMM: in 2016, a co-worker asked, "Whatever happened to Psy?" I did some research on YT and discovered all the things he'd done...and a thumbnail in the 'You might also like' section caught my attention. "What is this giant hat? And the 1960s Twiggy-style makeup and aesthetic?" I clicked. It was Mr. Ambiguous, and into the rabbit hole I fell. It was a few months after Um-Oh-Ah-Yeh released, and the next comeback was Decalcomanie. Life has never been the same since, all for the better. :)
Queen of snacks Wheein would approve of the pastry theory but the title is the 4 stages of a woman's reaction while checking out a hot guy lol. The connection between the song and the MV is a bit loose but the lyrics are about a woman who flips the gender script by taking the lead in initiating a relationship and the MV flips and satirizes the gender script in a bunch of ways and, while they're at it, sexuality too. It took a bunch of views before I was able to answer the questions I had about the MV and I doubt anyone does much more than laugh at all their farcical shenanigans on their first view. I'll try to summarize my thoughts. I think the MV is largely a satire on hetero male sexual fantasies, crimes and misdemeanors, hence the sexual harassment and outright attempted assault, the drink drugging, and the various ways Solar tries to seduce Moonbyul. For a long time I couldn't figure out why they set the dance scenes in a hair salon and a public restroom until I realized it was a barber shop and a men's room - they're invading male spaces as well as male bodies. Hwasa's hormonal gorilla is blatantly meant to poke fun at men's supposedly uncontrollable primal sexual urges. Solar pursues Moonbyul by role playing three stereotypical porn roles: French maid, "coffee, tea or me" stewardess (pre-Flight Attendant mentality), and hot to trot night nurse. None of these strategies work on Moonbyul, not only because she's not a guy but also because the fantasies are silly to begin with. And that leads to the bonus question: What if you thought you were straight but found yourself falling for someone of the same gender? The MV is like an SNL skit meets Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. Another installment in an endless series of Only Mamamoo moments over the past 10 years. To answer your question, Piano Man was the first MV I saw by MMM in 2016 when I first checked out kpop and was just about ready to give up on it because it seemed like kpop stood for kiddie pop - cutesy bubblegum pop songs by Lolita-esque girls and watered down, wannabe hip hop by pretty boys in makeup and colored hair. Still not a fan of overly slick, over-produced pop music but MMM kept me listening and eventually I got over some of my prejudices as my ears, eyes and mind adjusted to the Korean conception of kpop as a multi-disciplinary art form incorporating music, dance, fashion, video and social media. Chico Malo was a great song for you guys to start with because it implies that kpop is a continuation of a uniquely Korean tradition of multi-disciplinary entertainment going back hundreds of years to Pansori.
@@KPopOnLock YW. I'm not the best person to answer your question about whether UOAY was controversial since it pre-dates my intro to the group but if they did I never heard about it. UOAY was their first top 10 hit. I suppose there might have been some backlash because of the cross-dressing and Solar chasing after Moonbyul but since it was played for laughs I don't think they got much or any flak for it. You might be thinking of the controversy over a scene in the original MV for Decalcomanie that caused RBW to re-edit it almost immediately. For a good time watch a few of the compilation vids of MMM's ad libs while performing UOAY. Hysterical. And here's a link to the legendary part change version where Solar & Wheein rap and Moonbyul sings (Hwasa already did both): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FTCqYqivbOE.html Hwasa & Solar usually do the ad libs but in the part change performance it's Moonbyul & Wheein. There are no subs - Moonbyul says "Wheein, let's do the ad libs from now on" and Wheein says "OK!" They're one of a kind. 🤣
@@kudgeond755 Always love the links and knowledge you share with us thank you! They really are one of a kind and I’m falling hard for all four of them! Can’t wait to continue the MMM journey!
No, they are not. Other groups deserve recognition too. I'm a moomoo, I love Mamamoo but we can't speak badly of others or say only Mamamoo (and BP) exist. It's wrong
@@nowlimira5868 I agree 100%, Obviously there are other girl groups in K-Pop with talent. (G)-Idle and Red Velvet just to name a few that are really great! They could have just said Mamamoo and BP are my favorite girl groups.
There are no black panthers in North America. All puma/cougars are brownish tan. The only large black cats are melanistic Jaguars from South America and Leopards from Asia/Africa, which due to extra melanin, are so dark you can hardly see their patterns, or not at all. So black panthers are actually a made up mythical creature, so it's funny that black has become synonymous with pumas lol.
@@KPopOnLock Yes. Puma/mountain lion/ cougar, are all N. American cats, some actually consider them the same species, just with different ranges and adapted traits that were bred in through isolated groups. No problem! I worked at a zoo for 10 years, and black panthers are one of my favorite topics to share and discuss. So I couldn't pass it up LOL!!!!
PSI said he was really worried about Suga whilst he was working on the song, because he would forget to eat and sleep. Jungkook was obsessed with this song for a while. Suga has a great talk show he does called SUCHWITA( guests eat and drink alcohol and talk). On the episode he invites Jungkook and makes the mistake of getting a kareoke machine. Jungkook refuses to go home. Even long after Suga and most of the staff go. The staff that remain get a concert of Jungkook singing eatingxand dancing. He makes an exhausted Suga perform this song with him before he goes home
They did this choreo in 2x speed as well. One would think they'd mess up but then, they're SEVENTEEN. It's pretty amazing to watch. And speaking of "another angle", they also did this dance practise from behind. Where you can see it from the back. The detail is incredible
Suga's surprise appearance at Psy concert, one of the first after the lifting of the quarantine, is epic. People were having fun after two years and got crazy!!
This is amazing! Yes this is the performance version of the MV but this has the subs. There is also a MV but without subs. Also there is a 2x version of this dance~
Yes, Mamamoo helped come up with the music video concept and story line. You have to watch the MamamooTV behind the scenes episode on their channel, it's hilarious. I remember Solar and Moonbyul pranking the media and paparazzi by going out in public in full costume to create a dating scandal and they all fell for it. Also Hwasa and Moonbyul trying to pick up girls on the street in their Porsche. Mamamoo are crack heads!
Um Oh Ah Yeh is both a Mamamoo and fan favourite. It is always performed during their concerts and one of the encore songs. R.I.P. to Park Boram (the singer/actress playing the part of Moonbyul's sister).
Ahh Oop! was supposed to be Esna's solo debut song but RBW did her dirty by convincing her to include Mamamoo in the song. RBW then got her to perform it once on a music show and removed her from the remaining music show performances and promotions. Esna left RBW and released her answer song called Ahh Shit! Mamamoo and Esna remain close friends though.
I think, Fear is a good choice for listening. Or Home: Run. Or Clap. Their all have dance practices too. And, of course, song by JEONGHAN X WONWOO - Last Night that was released two days ago.
Ateez has a vast discography and are not afraid to try something new. Atiny’s never know what they will give us on albums. Their Bside music is really great ❤❤❤
