I make videos about the TV shows I like. I make explanation, theory, and recap and review videos. I also do official trailer breakdowns. I have covered Twin Peaks, Better Call Saul, Severance, House of the Dragon, The Expanse, Dark, Foundation, For All Mankind, Breaking Bad, Mr. Robot, Westworld, Game of Thrones, Watchmen, Ozark, and more.
I am most active on my twitter account @PetePeppers if you want to keep up, or want to tell me your ideas for new videos. I try to do my best to answer as many comments as possible here on RU-vid.
There was also the analogy by Raj's father who told a story about how he had to eliminate a squad of Pakistani soldiers on the mountain range, and it saved his squad because he was able to take their oxygen tanks. Basically foreshadowing The Dark Forest.
This show sometimes makes me question my whole family and implants the thought in my mind that someday maybe even I'll travel back or forward in time through a cave in my forest or through a utility pole. 😂
"Tsalal" is also a Hebrew word used in the Old Testiment to mean "to sink" or "to grow/become dark," or even to be in shadow, which is a cool little detail. And a friendly FYI, the word "tsalal" is pronounced more like "salal," but with a short /t/ sound before the 's,' so the /ts/ sound at the beginning of the word is like the one at the end of "buh dum, tss," (the "snare and cymbal" sound that comes after a bad joke,) but with a shorter /ts/ sound. It's not T-Salal with a hard, enunciated letter 'T'. Honestly, if you have trouble with the /ts/ sound you can totally get away with just saying "salal" without the /ts/ sound, and it'll still sound close enough to the correct pronunciation that most people wouldn't notice or comment on it.
Regarding the cabin fire, could it be a possibility that Taissa started it as she sleepwalks and does things without knowing ? 🤔 She couldn't remember eating Jackie, and Van reminded her.
My theory is that there are "others" not from the plane crash in the woods by choice. They are more vicious and created the symbols and have been watching the yellowjackets. Javi's "friend" is one of the nicer "others" and saw the yellowjackets were heading down the same path as the "others" and was trying to spare him from that. The "others" also took Crystal's body as they believed it would go to waste. If the show goes on for 5 seasons I think they will need more people as I don't think 12 total will be enough when we already have 7 confirmed survivor of the wilderness. The reason they haven't shown themselves to the yellowjackets is because the yellowjackets aren't to the point of actually sacrificing someone yet. Nobody has been killed by anyone else's hand yet if I'm remembering everything right. Crystal slipped, Javi drowned, and Jackie froze. They will have another hunt and after that the "others" will reveal themselves and basically force themselves into the yellowjackets group. And when everyone is rescued either the "others" won't come with and will stay in the forest or the yellowjackets won't trust them and will eliminate all of the "others" right before they all are saved. The "others" might make the hunt a tradition instead of an absolute need to survive. And because the "others" are more deadly the yellowjackets have to play along and will have to basically overthrow the "others". The reason the yellowjackets don't kick the "others" out is the "others" live in the caves and the yellowjackets have to move in to survive as the house burned down. During the hunts the yellowjackets try to keep each other alive and even help the sacrifice (a member of the yellowjackets) survive. Now some of them won't make it but the ones who do will be ashamed as they didn't hunt each other to survive, but more for sport.
It's mostly a good show, but it is so unrealistic on so many things that have anything to do with running restaurants. Takes you right out of the show.
Get rid of Sydney. Insufferable, fake and annoying. She ruins the authenticity. No one would put up with this kid's attitude, arrogance or any aspect of her inexperience.
The issue I have is I remember the Last Ep of Lost and how it did nothing except it was at least a fun ride. Even though the Ending sucked. Sorry to be a downer but Why do I have the same feeling this was a Revenge thing and 1 person (Who ever is alive at the end Planned it all. Yes I get planes can crash but they can get help to do that too). Like it or not going oh lets ride this out for 8, 10 or 20 Seasons only to get a Lost ending will Suck.
I think people think that because of not wanting the show to run too long & because the show creator and the shows stars have a lot of new projects to focus on. But they honestly could do more than 4 seasons, because with how they had been shooting, season 5 wouldn't need to begin shooting until early 2026.
Should Biden starst banning or place tariff on Chinese based movies and series too?? Wiki The Three-Body Problem (Chinese: 三体; lit. 'three body') is a story by Chinese science fiction author Liu Cixin, the first novel in the Remembrance of Earth's Past trilogy.[1] The series portrays a fictional past, present and future wherein Earth encounters an alien civilization from a nearby system of three Sun-like stars orbiting one another, a representative example of the three-body problem in orbital mechanics. The story was originally serialized in Science Fiction World in 2006 before it was published as a standalone book in 2008.[2] In 2006, it received the Galaxy Award for Chinese science fiction.[3] In 2012, it was described as one of China's most successful full-length novels of the past two decades.[4] The English translation by Ken Liu was published by Tor Books in 2014.[5] That translation was the first novel by an Asian writer to win a Hugo Award for Best Novel;[6][7] it was also nominated for the Nebula Award for Best Novel.[8] The book has been adapted into other media. In 2015, a Chinese film adaptation of the same name was in production, but it was never released. A Chinese TV series, Three-Body, released in early 2023 to critical success locally. An English language Netflix series adaptation, 3 Body Problem, was released in March 2024.
The scene when the protagonist was being interviewed by the student journalist hit home so hard. I have liberal values, but the actions of self righteous useful idiots who have no idea of what they’re marching and protesting about is infuriating. They think that there’s only one monolithic Vietnamese people, even to this day, and somehow they don’t comprehend what is the reality of communism is about. I remember being pushed back and forth in a mass of people clamoring for our daily ration that was quickly running out. A woman in the crowd asked a cadre at the commissary counter why did she sold the food to someone who wasn’t even in line when there are so many of us who have been waiting. The cadre responded in a thick northern accent, “If you liberated us instead of we liberating you then this wouldn’t have happened.” We were all shocked to hear that and were terrified of what could happen. Re-education camps and new economic zones (the jungle) would certainly be our destination if we persist. They called it “liberation,” but we know that it’s an occupation and subjugation. To this very day you will find northerners occupying the best government positions in the south and southerners are merely window dressing in a “unified” Vietnam. If there were “independent and freedom” certainly the common people didn’t have it. If “reunification” brought wealth and prosperity, why were there waves of people escaping to the sea in search of a better life. That didn’t just happened in Vietnam, after America abandoned Indochina, communist forces in Lao and Cambodia were also free to take power and the people of those countries also fled. Then the Cambodian genocide followed. Those self righteous useful idiots who were marching in support of a communist Vietnam should know that good intentions can also lead to bad consequences.
IF you believe in God (as I do), you would know that Will can't be "revived". His soul is long gone. However, this show relies on hard science, which is incompatible with religious belief, so it will be interesting to see how "Will" will interact with the San-Ti.
You missed something crucial during Yabushige's death. Toranaga states, "Why tell a dead man the future?" which is a direct reference to episode 1 when Yabushige whispers to Omi "Why tell a dead man the future?" when Omi asks why are we not telling Lord Toranaga about the ship? The significance of this is that it tells Yabushige that he got the wrong spy and it was Omi all along which shows why Toranaga lives the way he lives, not ever letting his closest relatives know his plans unless it's crucial to completing them. This also confirms Yabushige's suspicion that Toranaga wants to be Shogun despite the many protests that he has no desire for it because it illustrates to Yabushige that he had been in control and orchestrated everything from the very start of Episode 1. Again, Crimson Sky always revolved around Mariko even before the start of Episode 1 so Crimson Sky was going to happen. Toranaga just needed to make sure Mariko would carry out her duties thus his attempt to get any romance between Anjin and Mariko severed by giving him a prostitute and consort because he couldn't risk a romance between the two jeopardizing Mariko's resolve to die. But last and probably the most wholesome is that Toranaga wants Yabushige to know that the betrayals were not his fault as Toranaga's plans revolved around Yabushige's constant disloyalty; but in particularly, Mariko's death was not his fault since Toranaga instigated Yabushige's actions knowing he would betray him. Again, we see this as the viewer but keep in mind Yabushige has very little foresight and isn't watching this happen like we are. Also, he's an idiot. This is why Toranaga imparts the last question before smiling at Yabushige. He wanted to give him closure before he went to the afterlife by stating that everything happened, good and bad, because Toranaga planned it to from the very beginning.
I want to know how often seppuku happened and the specific reason. Is an outburst really a good reason to end your bloodline? Is there no other remedy for perceived dishonorable actions? You can’t do anything to restore it like finding the Avatar?
I've got a good idea as to where things go from there(the end of this video). Cashmere cavity experiments produce a real life "Warp bubble" the size of a hydrogen atom that fit the exact description of Alcubierre Warp Drive in November of 2002 and the experiment is repeated 4 times in the year 2003. And then controlled experiments with atom sized Warp bubbles get started in the year 2006. And then in August of the year 2012, it is discovered that is has an accumulating effect when a tiny amount of antimatter is added to it. Fast forward to the year 2024 and professor Alcubierre wins the nobel prize in physics for His original 1994 Warp Drive equation and the first experimental Warp Drive spacecraft the size of a pinhead is launched and tracked by remote control.
While it’s been 10 years, the age progression of the characters doesn’t make sense. Rhaenera should be in her mid 20s, but she looks 40. Aegon should be about 12, but he looks 16-18?? King Viserys looks like he’s 70 years old and Alicent hasn’t aged a day. It took me a while to realize who everyone was 😂
