I was traveling back home in the early 2004 era from West Texas to South Louisiana after being on an Oil Drilling Rig for Anadarko Petroleum being gone for 22 days. I would always list to my Hinson CD's while on the road when i heard Ronnie Hinson sing his song "At the Resurrection" i cried all the way home. I could hear the sincerity Ronnie had in his voice singing about Kinney. They are such an inspiration to me. I know some of it was because i missed being in church but the song really touched me.
Oct. 24 This is a great song and i was supprised to learn that ETC wrote it. Oh the days of actual live music before all the manipulation we have in todays music.
This is my favorite song… We must all look to Jesus as the day of grace draws to a close with the rising of the sun each day… Looking to Jesus is the only way we can be saved from God‘s wrath… That He will pour out on this evil world… We all must call on Jesus now before it’s forever to late…Romans 10:9 ✝️🙏♥️ I pray if you are reading this TODAY IS YOUR DAY OF SALVATION..
I know the Bible says When You've done all you can to stand just stand and I know it's hard sometimes to look through those tear stained eyes and still see the scars in those hands but just you keep this in mind, when hope seems so hard to find surely you've not reached the end when the whole world has let you down Jesus can still be found When you've tried it all Look to Him Look to Him, for He only when sorrow makes lonely and the day and the night close in He can vanish the midnight and He'll call back your sunlight How will it end Look to Him Now I know that questions can Lord they can seem so hard to understand but then But I know someone who knows it all His eyes see even that little sparrow fall Yet He can hold back the sea with just one hand He's so big He rides on the wind that blows Yet in your heart the only one that knows the heartache and all the trouble you're in When life seems everything but good Remember Him cause He's the only one that could If you'd only dare Look to Him
This song takes me back home in my mind. I relive my best years. Just makes you nostalgic with the first words. What a legend. I put George Jones at the top but ETC is def a top 10.
I have found this video while I was looking for the version they sang with Eric Clapton in Just One Night Album. I prefer the version with Clapton, but the best one the original Dire Straits version.
