My name is Bo, I have background of working with many different types of vehicles, but my passion started with a Mustang! A 1969 Mustang Mach1 Fastback was my favourite car, When I was 16 years old I bought my first Foxbody Mustang, & I've been playing with them since. I do respect all types/makes/models of fast cars, Boosted or N/A, But making any toy faster, or better than a stock performance level is what I'm about. I am an Auto Mechanic by trade, and my family is based out of British Columbia, Canada. I like to keep busy with projects in my spare time, and I am well known for my many different backyard builds. My friends/Family have been inviting me to share my content for years , and have branded me with the saying. "Its Built By Bo" My goal for the channel is mainly to be focusing on my current Mustang builds, as well as other Automotive typed builds, How to repairs, & Performance upgrades on pretty much anything with an engine.
There is something about making V8 power with a small 4 cylinder engine ! I find it very cool ! I remember when people thought that making 145 horsepower with a turbo 4 cylinder was big numbers and then the SVO came along and that’s when I realized making V8 power from a small 4 cylinder was not only possible but the future because it eliminates all that weight in the front end and makes handling so much better without loosing horsepower .
Hey Bo, Awesome video. Im currently building a 2.3 turbo for my 96 ford ranger. After looking up the Pimpx on stinger performance website it shows the pimpx is for 83-95 rangers. Would this still work on a 96 or would i have to find something else? Im completely lost when it comes to wiring.
Hello, it’s best to contact Shannon @ Stinger Performance and ask for his assistance as he is the guru. Good luck on your build, it will be a fun package.
Man I miss my Mustang 2.3L four-cylinder that my dad gave me when I got my drivers license in like 2007 and I love that car I have drove in that car all over the state of Virginia was a 93 and it was great four-cylinder slow
Saludos desde puerto Rico tengo una camioneta mazda modelo b2300 de el año 1996 es 8 bujías sin inicio cuál sería el tiempo de sincronizar la banda el mismo que el que usted puso del Mustang grasias espero que pueda ayudarme
Hello, I am not sure if it is the same vehicle market over there as here in Canada, But if your motor is the same, and the timing marks identify the same as in my video......Then it would be a good place to start.
Heey I have a 1998 foxbody 2.3l and I added a t3-t4 turbo to it Any advice on how to workout the computer tunning and the injectors? I've been told I need bogger injectors and a new computer dor tunning
Heyyy I have a mustang foxbody 1998 2.3l I added a t3-t4 rurbo and now I'm struggling with the computer and the injerctors Can't find a tunner that knows what to do Would this computer work ?
I find it easier to put short block in 1st, tidy up & route loose ends without head in the way on my XR4. Use a eng support bar when r&r t9 clutch as bell housing is fixed to t9 GBox and tunnel is tight without a lift. Put bat behind pas eat to escape turbo heat, would free LF bat space on stang 4 other coming uses, Meth tank, rad sprayer, transfer weight to rr👍
Using Tuner Studio The Pimp has an "Autotune" procedure for cold/Hot starts that can affect tuning for the IAC, and as well you can also manipulate the IAC settings manually in Tuner studio if desired.
You have 1/4" to shove some turbo shield and stainless 8 by 12 self tap ss screws to protect fw & Pimp on other side pass footwell🔥 After sorting out misc wiring & plumbing, I would by Stinger 3" outlet elbo, have to send in your's! I hope to get a Pimp so as to fine tune injector off boost at idle, just got a wideband & Ex temp &FP trio to have a better look at F/A mix# as my NB is colors only lean to rich, back & forth light show🎉 Tells me where the TPS😅 👍
for the price of these things, they should be the ones installing the jumpers. jfc, for that much they should install the thing in your car themselves lmfao
I agree they are pricey, But other stand alone setups are more money, and don't retain factory wiring. The jumpers are left up to the user to install so it can be setup in the specific way of the build. Although it may seem overwhelming at first, It does get easier with a little playing.
Bo thanks a bunch for video mock up, lots of information for my install of Gnari fmic on an 84 TBird turbo coupe. I was able to fit the AC condenser and didn’t have to trim the battery tray. I did use a 6” silicone coupler from the intake 90 pipe to S pipe so my pipes don’t chatter. Lots of luck to you!!!
Looks great! Mine is going on the engine dyno at work soon for mapping and we will have a standalone ecu pretuned and tuneable for these. Boport stage 3 head with 2.5 cam, ported lower gutted upper twisted stock bottom end😂 with a 67mm mirror turbo, air to air fmic on 93. Not sure what throttle body to use? Mine is in a ranger with a c4.
You think my grandpa would notice if the farm truck started whistling, im his mechanic so i could just tell him its nothing, but hes gonna be wondering why i drive it so much
Awesome video man! Thank you for making this. I have to repair the exact same panel on my 87 Notch. I'll be watching your video each step of the way when I begin! Cheers!
