You should see the room 5059 on Queen Anne. It is a BB categorie. But as the room is turned 90° you a window and a balcony door. The balcony is very long, but yes, not as width as the one you shown. We loved the room. But now back in inside rooms, as I like the dark in the morning 🤭
SO excited, my mother and I have the same room type, situated at the front, booked for September :o) It's a pity they don't give you a proper sun-lounger though, there's more than enough room.
Just found your channel and watched your Queen Anne video on the two outside cabins. We were booked in the smaller of the two however after seeing your video we have changed to the larger with the separate shower room We are on for 33 days so thought we would benefit from the extra space and at a total cost of £200 for the upgrade for 33 days we thought it worth the difference. Many thanks for the video
@@berniestafford1445 we had a fabulous cruise thanks. However there has been lots of displeasure posted on various forums etc about the placement of these tv’s. Thanks for watching.
If I was eating in a buffet I would much prefer that food was served to everyone to minimise the risks from Norovirus and other infections. We would never eat in a buffet if we had the choice of table service in a sit down restaurant. But your video is nice and clear. Thanks
We only want to take QM2 B2B Transatlantic now and again. So we wouldn't be on QA. TV position wouldn't bother us. It's only for safety demo, captain's updates, and I think in QA's case viewing account on, but I'd just do that on my phone. We sleep in the bed. Otherwise we use cabin for showering, dressing and preparing to go out around the ship. That's even with a glass balcony because my wife likes full windows and natural light coming in to put on makeup for evening. If we wanted to watch TV we'd stay at home.
I think the kitchens is an absolute con. Yes, reduce food waste, but this is all about saving money and guilting you if you want more than one plate of something. I won't book Marella again. At a buffet, by all means reduce self service, but don't tell me how much and where I can eat from
Hi, we really enjoyed your video and are hoping to book this trip. Can you remember roughly how long it was and about what time you departed Alesund? Many thanks
Hi, from memory it was 9am start and was a good 5/6 hours long. it was a great day topped with those amazing views, It was breathtaking. Thanks for your kind works it means a lot.
Looks nice from the video. We've just booked up for Spain & France in 2026 in cabin 9245... basically the mirror-image cabin on the other side of the ship. How was it noise and/or disturbance wise if you don't mind me asking? Hoping having deck 8 between us and Brodies would give a level of isolation lol
@@SailwithGailandMike. May sound a daft question but which way does the bed face in relation the ship IE Port ..Starboard or Aft...In both Cabins thanks...Sorry to ask daft questions the direction the ship moves in relation to which way you are sleeping
@@martinhumble51 For the standard inside you sleep sideward, so in the one we showed your feet would be pointing starboard, if you went in a port side cabin your feel would be facing port,, for the non regular cabin 10048 I’ve just checked the deck plan and this cabin your feet are facing forward, the same way as our balcony cabin is if you check it out in our playlist, hope that makes sense?
so this cabin has no life boat above it and no noise from up top right? if so Im going to switch my room to this cabin. it is currently available on my vista sailing this july
It’s a great cabin, i’d sailed on Breeze & done my homework then on cove balconies 😉 can’t comment on noises now as I sailed a long time ago, but think you’ll love it, enjoy your cruise.
This brings back memories. When working on the ships, Boatyard was our go to every Barbados! It looks a lot more built up now! Back then it was massive sea tricycles and a floating platform!! The water still looks amazing! You saw some amazing creatures whilst snorkelling. We want to go back!!! Cheers 🍻
We can’t remember the actual name, it was with P&O and is was something like Monaco & Monte Carlo on your own? I think it was about £5O each, we could have got it slightly cheaper externally, however as it’s a tender port this allowed us to get off early first as we had it booked with P&O. It was a really great trip. Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. It looked a great excursion. I have seen that one so will get it booked. Will be watching the rest of your vlogs for more ideas. Thanks again 🙂
We have booked a Marella cruise in August 2024 along the Mediterranean. Are the menus the same every day/evening or does it change day by day? Just because I noticed 2 peanut dishes on the Banyan Leaf menu and my partner has a nut allergy. We hope to be able to sample all the Kitchens has to offer and don't want options to be limited if possible. Thank you
When I was a kid, my dad worked on curaçao Island at a power station. We flew out and stayed there for a month at my dad's villa. Had a pool. Gorgeous Island. Beats Rochdale hands down lol.
The best thing about our cabin is that we did not have to stay in it very long - the ship didn't sail. We had an outside accessible - we had to put an extra mattress on the bed and the handles to the drawers came off in our hands.
Just ran across this video. This is the Carnival Sunshine right out of drydock after it's refurbishing in Europe. The port is Messina, Sicily. I was on that cruise. The Sunshine did Mediterranean cruises and then headed to the Caribbean. This was September 2013.
You’re right. Our cruise started 28th July and lasted 12 nights. She’s a lovely ship and had some lovely touches like the waterfall in the beautiful adult area. Thanks for watching. 👍🛳👍
