Russia love Sailor Moon🫶🏻🥹 also there was always original Japanese version so we we grew up listening and singing japanese versions of openings and endings
Full of mistakes. Missing syllables in the first two lines. Actor wankers. Lethe is not pronounced 'leath' to rhyme with sheath. It is a drowsy numbness not drowsy numbness. No wonder people are put off poetry. Shameful.
Beautiful masterpiece of Coleridge's poetry. He dreamed of it being longer; if a friend of business hasn't interrupted him, the rest of his dream wouldn't be lost.
The cantonese version in this video is from the 2010 rerun. Here is the original and rockier 90s version ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-odeG2HyAwy4.html
Annabel Lee. Annabel Lee , Edgar Allan Poe (1809-1849) It was many, many years ago, In a kingdom by the sea, lived a maiden whom you may know by the name of Annabel Lee ; and this lady lived with no other desire than to love me, and to be loved by me. I was a boy, and she a girl in that kingdom by the sea; We love each other with a passion greater than love, Me and my Annabel Lee ; with such tenderness that the winged seraphim wept rancor from on high. And for this reason, long, long ago, in that kingdom by the sea, a wind blew from a cloud, freezing my beautiful Annabel Lee ; grim ancestors suddenly arrived, and they dragged her very far from me, until they locked her in a dark tomb, in that kingdom by the sea. The angels, half-happy in Heaven, envied us, Her, me. Yes, that was the reason (as men know, in that kingdom by the sea), that the wind blew from the night clouds, freezing and killing my Annabel Lee . But our love was stronger, more intense than that of all our ancestors, greater than that of all the wise men. And no angel in its celestial vault, no demon under the ocean, can ever separate my soul from my beautiful Annabel Lee . For the moon never shines without bringing me the dream of my beautiful companion. And the stars never rise without evoking their radiant eyes. Even today, when the tide dances at night, I lie down next to my beloved, my beloved; to my life and my adored one, in his grave next to the waves, in his grave next to the roaring sea.
In Xanadu did Kubla Khan A stately pleasure-dome decree: Where Alph, the sacred river, ran Through caverns measureless to man Down to a sunless sea. So twice five miles of fertile ground With walls and towers were girdled round; And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills, Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree; And here were forests ancient as the hills, Enfolding sunny spots of greenery. But oh! that deep romantic chasm which slanted Down the green hill athwart a cedarn cover! A savage place! as holy and enchanted As e’er beneath a waning moon was haunted By woman wailing for her demon-lover! And from this chasm, with ceaseless turmoil seething, As if this earth in fast thick pants were breathing, A mighty fountain momently was forced: Amid whose swift half-intermitted burst Huge fragments vaulted like rebounding hail, Or chaffy grain beneath the thresher’s flail: And mid these dancing rocks at once and ever It flung up momently the sacred river. Five miles meandering with a mazy motion Through wood and dale the sacred river ran, Then reached the caverns measureless to man, And sank in tumult to a lifeless ocean; And ’mid this tumult Kubla heard from far Ancestral voices prophesying war! The shadow of the dome of pleasure Floated midway on the waves; Where was heard the mingled measure From the fountain and the caves. It was a miracle of rare device, A sunny pleasure-dome with caves of ice! A damsel with a dulcimer In a vision once I saw: It was an Abyssinian maid And on her dulcimer she played, Singing of Mount Abora. Could I revive within me Her symphony and song, To such a deep delight ’twould win me, That with music loud and long, I would build that dome in air, That sunny dome! those caves of ice! And all who heard should see them there, And all should cry, Beware! Beware! His flashing eyes, his floating hair! Weave a circle round him thrice, And close your eyes with holy dread For he on honey-dew hath fed, And drunk the milk of Paradise.
Why does the English version seem so boring to me? All the other ones are about love and romance but the English version just describes sailor moon and what she does. It boring compared to the rest. Leave it to America to be unoriginal
The Latin American Spanish version is the best because it's a literal translation of the original Japanese so it helps you to know what the original Japanese says
Lol, that Cantonese version is actually performed by Hotcha (a girl group) who re-performed the classic Cantonese OP. This version is the 2010 version of Sailor Moon (as Hong Kong reaired Sailor Moon on a channel called J2); the one with Tong bo Yu, Wong Hing Ping and Chow Mai Mun is the 1990s version, which has a more rock and serious melody.
