Such a shame they paved Pikes Peak. Basically useless now since it's only a mountain road now. Plenty of them around the world, especially in the Alps. The dirt part made Pikes Peak special.
The driver is good. The car is also good, but it even looks good. But with 2 solutions unknown today, it can also be made much better. What they are, I'm not authorized to tell you.
Well, the old record from Walter Röhrl will probably last forever. There is a small difference whether you drive up on gravel or on a nice asphalt road.
Bom dia !!!!! Eu já tinha visto esse vídeo há uns 02 anos atrás. Só Máquinas incríveis. Sonho um dia ir assistir essa corrida de perto. Obrigado pelo vídeo e parabéns pelo canal. Abraço do Brasil.
Define stupidity; ................00:49! Seriously I was just thinking it's amazing no one is hurt standing that close, and then these schmucks enters the frame!
Great driving skills, which also takes me way back to 1988, when Ari Vatanen drove his Peugeot with massive down force spoilers and set a record time of 10.47secs for the film Pikes Peak. I bet his time could be better if they had proper road back then. 🤩
11:09.220 Still in top 10. Faster than Michèle Mouton 11:25.390 but slower than Ari Vatanen 10:47.220 . Last from Unser family who set the record on that hill climb. So Last champion on gravel Pikes Peak was Rod Millen in 1994 with Toyota Celica Super Sport Turbo 10:04.060 and nobody could beat that till 2007.
I grew up in woodland park and young Bobby Regester was my best friend. I remember going to his house and bob always had a racecar in the garage. I've have taken some hairy rides with that guy 😂
