They changed the signs for Trunk. There used to be little almost like street signs on the bottom. You can see them in the underwater scene in Weekend At Bernie's Part II that was filmed in 1992. I lived there 1981 to 1990 ages 11 to 20, a girl I went to school with lived in the house at the end of the peninsula at Trunk. My dad owned the St. John Pub during that time too, we used to go over to Cruz Bay for lunch on Saturdays to check the Pub (it was in the shack that was at the end of the dock) and eat at The Backyard - a place that was dark, full of plants with an open center, a balcony around the edges, and a lot of scruffy pirate looking locals used to hang there. The island has drastically changed since the 1980s, Cruz Bay is completely unrecognizable now.

Special skills. You can drop a 100 ft pine between two parked cars. Then you haul it away like it was never there. You get 🐿🐿🐿🐿🐿 five squirrels for that drop!
Awesome catches! I’m heading up there this September with my brother. Can you give me a general idea where that stretch is? Only reason I ask is because me and my brother don’t have a boat so we’re going to be wading the river, and it looks like you guys waded most of it. If you don’t want to give up your spot i totally understand, but I’m your experience is the whole river was able in September?
