I've never travelled on an LNER, Transpennine Express, or Grand Central train. I'd love to do this with staff support because I'm not confident enough to do this independently. Shane Walker.
that Haymarket station 2:43:25..am i correct in thinking you can get a train to London either side of platforms going west or east..if this makes sense?
@peterwhitaker4038 True but obviously if you plan to go to Carlisle, Preston, Birmingham etc it's the West Coast, otherwise it's Newcastle, York etc the East Coast
Very peacefull journey you should start to try out cross country more they have not really good routes but the go everywhere in the uk big challenge record penzance to aberdeen
Very interesting video thanks for the upload. Think after Brussels you must have been behind a TGV stopping service certainly you can see a stop at Antwerp, Rotterdam and Schipol Airport in front of you. But I enjoyed it the video all the same.😊
It stops because of pathing through the Brussels area to align with the ex Thalys (now Eurostar). The crew also swap here for a Dutch or Belgium crew so it allows for that to take place. 20 minutes is really nothing… it’s now 4 hours from London to Amsterdam which is incredible considering the direct link didn’t exist 6 years ago!!
@@2011pendolino pretty sure the thalys does a crew change as well and only stops for a few minutes. And it is not much overall, but it still matters as nowadays taking the thalys to brussels and then the eurostar to london is faster and cheaper (was wondering why it was the case).
@@daanwolters3751 So on the way back from Amsterdam, we have a Dutch / Belgium crew, they change at Brussels. Also, under UK requirements the train has to be checked and secured before entering the Channel Tunnel. This is also done in Brussels, also more passengers join at Brussels. Eurostar and Thalys have the same journey time between Amsterdam and Brussels - around 1 hour 50 minutes. Eurostar then requires at least a 45 minute check in window so this train has the advance of you completing that in Amsterdam or Rotterdam. Happy to help further if needed. I’m no expert but have used this service a lot
@@2011pendolinothe check actually happens beforehand in amsterdam or in which station you get on. It was only at the stsrt that passengers where checked in Brussels. Well the travel time to arrive in brussels is the same, but that does not take the waiting time into account. If i book on the internet now, it is 20 minutes faster to tske the eurostar from amsterdam, but the time to get trough security is not included, while the time to get trough security is included if i take the thalys first and then the eurostar. So only if i can clear the security in amsterdam in 20 minutes or less, the eurostar is faster. And again the train is not checked in brussels only the passengers who embark in Brussels, but that happens beforehand.
Ich verstehe nicht wieso mann die Kabine nicht aufnehmen kann. Das ganze video auf den Flügel zu schauen einfach langweilig. Ich will wissen wie di Kabine aussieht.
SO NICE THIS EUROSTAR JOURNEY THIS ONE GIVES ME THE IMPRESSION OF GOING RETURN FROM LILLE EUROPE TO LONDON SAINT PANCRAS INTERNATIONAL WILL THERE BE A PARIS NORTH LONDON SAINT PANCRAS ROUTE OR EVEN A THALYS PARIS NORD AMSTERDAM CENTRAL ROUTE ? Rechercher des détails
