In the 70s before The Swanswater was a commercial fishery, you could fish it for free, and it had the most beautiful, full tailed full finned rainbow trout in it. The fish that escaped from Hoowietoun fish hatchery, ended up the Swanswater. Then for some reason it was drained and left for years so that shrubs, bushes and trees grew in it and ruined it as a fishing destination.
Good stuff, planning on going up in the next fortnight, never had much luck there though been up 3 times over the course of 20 years and never had so much as an offer 😅
Hi John , well the thing is I've got a bloody sore sholder so sore icant sit still for any length of time , I'm waiting to get my eyes done (cataracts) I'm also booked into physio, as Arnie says ILL BE BACK
@@mackiejames00 I'm sorry to hear about your shoulder, hopefully the physios will get you sorted out soon. I had a cataract operation Christmas 2021, so if you want to know what it is really like, I'd be happy to share my experience with you, just ask. I chose to have a distance lens, partly because I still drive and partly because I wanted to see flies on the surface better. Anyway, I sent you a friend request on Facebook a while ago, so if you want to have a private conversation, we can do it there
Took my 2 boys fishing here today. Was full of action all round. I got 2 nice size rainbow my dad got a rainbow and a blue trout 👍🏻 everyone catching all round. Will be back 💯
Good to see you out & about again. I too had Covid recently and was ill for over a month and I also had a bad back for some time after. The only thing that helped me was a heated pad on my back or a hot water bottle. All the best to you
