Gary Carter was my favorite Baseball player and i patterned my game after his as a kid. I wish i could have thanked him in person for an autograph he sent to me when i was 14. He had no idea how much it meant to a poor kid from Queens. ❤
When GWAR first started touring with a "modified" school bus Dave was reading Conan comics with a flash light to other guys to entertain them hahah a true leader.
He straight up strung his guitar and said.. she sits alone by a lamp post and took me back in time for a second. That's called ART. I literally left my thoughts to think about it. Explain ART how you wanna but art is different to ERR ON. Even you New Orleans assholes
Kid Carter could not hide his BALD SPOT no matter how hard he tried...s aw Kid getting his perm done at a woman's salon on upper east side along w/ his wife getting her horrible BLONDE DYE JOB. Gary came out looking more like Joan Rivers than his newly blonde wife.
i was born in 83. i met mookie wilson as a small child on westchester square in the bronx at some store. He signed autographs, and I no more than 5-6 wrote a letter to Gary Carter and asked Mookie to give it to him. He did. (which is awesome by itself). Gary read my letter, sent me back 4 or 5 baseballs signed two video tapes 1 in particular i wore out called think big. he sent photos signed to me, hand wrote a personal letter responding to things i wrote in my letter which according to my mother was rough due to my age. nothing in my life has meant more to me or is more sentimental than that.
While an Expo, the "Kid" once signed a ball to a cousin of mine who was battling what would be terminal cancer. But it wasn't just a signature, it was a message of hope and perseverance. Gary Carter was a treasure.
