What milage can be expected form these gen3B engines? I have a 190hp czpb from Audi, first itteraton from 2017 (no opf, same dq381) it has 110.000miles and i plan to keep it until it explodes, oil is done every 5000 miles, the timing chain was replaced and both the thermostat and water pump were replaced under warranty. It does not burn oil at all.
Hey guys, wanted to ask a question. Its not related to modification, but since you guys have too much experience dealing with VAG cars, m asking this. We've been owning a wagonR for over a decade, and we're thinking of upgrading to quite a big segment. We've finalised the xuv 700 and scorpio for now, budget is strictly 20L. However, once exploring the used car market, I've come across some 2019 Octavia L&Ks, some 2018-19 superb Styles and a few passats, that are under 20L. Need your opinion on those. The odo reading for these is under 50k, octavias are under 30-35k. But would they be a good buy? Other than the depreciation and resale, how expensive can the maintainance be? As long as <1L is spent yearly on service+maintainance, we can afford it. What would be your opinion? 1-Used or new? 2-Octavia or passat or superb? 3-What can be some defects I should be mindful of? (Ive heard the DSG gearbox is prone to fail) 4-Financially, would this be a good decision? In a short+long term view? Lemme know if you need some more info, thx.

Hey Rahul, are the new EA888 Gen 4 engines better at tune-ability than these Gen 3b engines? Do the EA888 Gen 4 engines have a lower compression ratio similar to the engines found in the Vrs230/ Audi 45 Tsi etc. ?
The Gen4 engines sold in these newer cars in India, just seem to be updated Gen3B engines with a few updated parts from the Gen4s sold abroad. This still run very high compression and will react similarly to the Gen3B engines. We don't see these making more power than the Gen3Bs around.

Does this car run meth ? I’m sure that you can get down to 10 seconds running meth injection and some upgraded injectors. I have a TT and I am aiming for low 10s as I have seen various S3s run low 10s with a similar setup to what you have.
We did plan to run WMI but decided not to, as the car is mostly going to be sold soon. WMI would help reduce the IATs by a huge margin as the current setup does suffer from extreme IATs owing to heat soaking. Getting these cars to run low 10s on a stock block is not very hard in our opinion.
Maintenance costs vary a lot depending on the prices of the parts being used. So it would be unfair as almost every 6 months, manufacturers increase the pricing on most parts.
now the real car culture in india is growing with this m4 m3 m2 s old porsche and many more other than those thars with bigass alloy wheels if they reduces car taxes on india people will import more and production cost of other new cars also get down and many more foreign companies will enter

Really appreciate your work guys🙌🏻 I was wondering how much max power the B58 can put down given the fact that it already comes with quite a few beefy parts from the factory and if on top of it someone gets a fully built trans and some upgraded internals for the engine too (like valve springs, pistons etc) Papadakis racing already has built a B58 giving 1200 hp, so what is the max power figures that we could expect?
We are in the process of building a 700-800HP M340i for a client of ours. A detailed video on that should be out in September. In India I doubt many M340i owners would want to build an engine & transmission and go all-out. Guess we'd have to wait and watch what the future has in store. Globally, these B58 Motors can easily handle 1000-1300HP when built right.
