Thank you for the video. I agree with the other posts, add adults every time you say children. I am 55 and just discovered that I have had Tourette’s all my life. I was not diagnosed correctly as a child when my mother took me to the doctor for uncontrollable eye blinking. But that was not the only thing. I had and still have motor ticks, but not noticeable to other people usually. Uncontrollable Rage is the worst. Now I understand myself and all the havoc I have caused. I am very thankful that I can go forward knowing that I can explain my words and actions. God bless.

I used to work at the Chicago Bulls, one day my boss mentioned how hard it must of been of for someone with tourettes to do what I do. Told him to shut the fuck up..., was not officially diagnosed for another 25 years.
Not just children. This 75 yo, suffers from this every single day. So I very consciously avoid any person or place where I think this may occur. The older I get, this worse it is!
Can you get Tourette’s by a vaccine because I did when I was 5 and got my vaccine than a day later I came home doing stuff that’s not normal so we went to the doctor and he diagnosed me with Tourette’s
Tourettes is a genetic condition, it can't be 'given' by a vaccine, because it can't be given. It might just be a coincidence? (I hope this helped! I have Tourette's too, I hope all is well with you💚)

I would have loved, and my family too, to had access to the kind of resources and insights you are facilitating... still struggling at some level although much worked on my inner self. ok hang on.. I don't have a phd or a doctorate but I did have a son in 1982 before anyone knew anything about ADHD. My son went to all kinds of specialists and I was told he could not attend school if he was not medicated. First he was put on Ritalin. Ritalin was hard to come by. He was prescribed 5 mil.. therefore we couldn't get 10 mil and break in half it had to be the 5 mil. If one Eckerd drugs didn't have his correct dosage.. I had to drive across town and get the correct dosage. And trust me they monitored that Ritalin better than they do any kind of pain pill that are killing people now. He was put on Clonodine-Amepremine-Straterra-I doubt I am spelling them right.. but my point is.. when you have a child with ADHD it is damn sure a challenge. I would cry and say to my best friend" God did not know what he was doing when he made me Richie's mama".. and she would say yes he did Kim. Yes he did. And he did. My son is 39 years old and my bestfriend. He is smart.. he is funny and he does not like for his Mom to drive in the rain. Richie did have some signs of tourettes but he was so doped up he didn't know if he was coming or going. If your baby has ADHD... dive deep into what they are being prescribed.. what are the side effects. When Richie was 13 years old we were leaving a doctor's appointment with his specialist. His daddy was a piece of shit. Anyway, I remember Richie looked up at me and said "mom your the only one that understands me". I looked at him and I said "I love you Richie". He remembers that. Just wanted you to know it will get easier.

@@theo_is_hiddled8880 I so wish this wasn't the case for you! If you ever need to talk there are great support groups on Facebook! You can search Tourette Syndrome support and they will pop up. If you feel like you have Tourettes the best thing to do in my opinion would be to go to the doctor if that's an option for you. I also have quite a few videos uploaded on here they might help. ♥️🙏🏼

I just recently broke up with my boyfriend of four years, because I could not handle his anger outbursts, he never received help growing up from his parents with any of this, I have multiple brain aneurysms, which I have to keep myself emotionally in check, my ex-boyfriend was extremely verbally abusive, I can’t handle that kind of anger, do I love them absolutely, how am I supposed to help him if I have medical issues of my own that I have to make sure that I have no stress for my multiple brain aneurysms. I just don’t know what to do and how to help them. That also means keeping myself healthy as well.

I have adhd anxiety and ocd I’m currently 25 but when I was in the 4th grade we used to switch classes for reading and I will never forget when the sub for my reading class one day screamed at me in front of the entire class basically saying “what are you dumb” it had also happened to be during a test and she did this because I asked to go to the resource teacher to finish my test which was part of my IEP and she told me no and everyone was done and I’m now the only one with the test still and I literally started crying so she said what she said I was not only embarrassed but I was terrified
Her explanation of how exhausting a school day can be with ADHD and then being forced to do work once getting home can be extremely stressful and hard to do (or work on for hours and give up when it's and hour past what time your supposed to go to bed). I can't count how many times I've said "I forgot" instead of explaining that no matter how hard I tried couldn't sit or focus long enough, I didn't have enough mental power left from school to do my work, but I tried! and instead I worked on the same paper for 2 hours when the teacher said it would take "about a half-hour" and still have 1or 2 problems left causing a mental breakdown because I still had 4 other classes of homework to do and not get any of it done. It feels like this lady really knows what she's talking about and it made me really happy to hear that she had sympathy without making it seam like I was a burden or a problem to be fixed. More people need to understand ADHD like she does, school wouldn't be so hard if they were
Change your audio from mono to stereo. The left and right audios are out of phase, so when you play mono audio and your PC/phone just combines them, they cancel each other out and you get almost no audio.
Hello I have tourretes and since I was a child. I have a coughing tic and with all this Covid going around I do it in public it's very irritating. I have to cough a certain way and also a grinding tic with my teeth.

Why doesn´t any videoes show all the other things that ar not straight forward tics? Like angeroutburst from trivial things, provocing behaviour, saying long sentences with mean words to people that sound like they reallly mean it, when they are actually tics. techers and people around the child needs to learn this. So the child is not punished all the time.

Please, replace "children" with adult! I"m 73. I learned I had Tourette's in my 50s at a special education teacher work shop. I learned about comorbids in the last year. I have suffered from the comorbids all of my life. I been asked to leave organizations, I've lost jobs, I've been passed over for rank in the Military all for Dysinhibition. Four failed marriages and children and grandchildren who don't associate with me. I spend as much time as possible in solitude, it's easier. Children are not to only ones who suffer from Tourette's. We adults do too! I enjoyed the video. I continue to learn why I do what I do.
The parts of the brain are striatum lobe and frontal. Dopamine can also be influenced by Tourette Syndrome.. The above can effect executive skills in a child or teen. It effects time management, emotional regularty and tasks to name a few. Smartpea approach is used to help aid at goal making in an individual. My question is how can we decipher what a child has when tourette symdrome can mimic OCD,ADHD and other disorders. Secondly, What can i do to help in executive skills to aid our students. I would really like to know if we see tourette sydrome in some of our students
