Babies who turn their head to the left and tilt their head to the right have right sided Torticollis. I have a playlist that discusses how to treat right Torticollis. If you have specific questions about your baby, I recommend you consult with a local pediatric therapist to assist you.
If your baby tilts their head to their left, then they have left Torticollis. If your baby tilts their head toward their right, then they have right Torticollis more than likely. I have entire playlists for left and right Torticollis respectively. Maybe they can be of some assistance for you. I recommend if you have questions specific to your baby then you contact a local pediatric therapist who can assist you.
I’m autistic and I’ve been walking on my toes when barefoot since as long as I can remember. I don’t know why I do it but it just feels natural. I wish I could stop lol
Hi Amy, I would love to email you for some advice about my 21/2 year old son please. But can’t seem to find any contact info. I’m writing from Trinidad and Tobago and would love to bring him over to you. Your help is much appreciated! Thanks❤ God bless you
My email address is in the video description. Please remember it is considered unethical for me to provide treatment recommendations for a child. I have not personally evaluated.
My son army crawled all the time and one day his shirt was creeping up, and he instantly went up on his hands and knees. (This is to say, we worked a long time on strength and exercising him- he was prem) So from then 😊onward we will roll up his shirt if the hand under the bell push up didnt work 😊 then we started with the push off behind his heels ❤ was so funny and all his shirts were so dirty 😂 ❤ Thank you for your vid's. My baby girl was in hospital for a year just sedated - mostly and bed ridden so she is sitting now & rolling but not much . and we are working on her stiff right arm ( her stuck little wing we call it) But she is slowly progressing) she is two now. ❤ Your vid helps so much ❤

My 6 week baby is shake his legs when i put pressure on his leg palm. It beats some times more some times 5-6. Is it ancle clonus.. i m nervous is this serious problems please reply
We just realized our daughter probably has hypotonia. All the symptoms match her. She’s gonna be 1 year in two weeks and still can’t get on all 4s or even stay on them if we get her there. I’m taking her to the dr in two weeks but wanted to at least start a few gentle exercises with her. Your videos are the only really good clear ones I’ve found!
I am so glad you found my channel. Likely, Everett ‘s playlist will be helpful for you too: Pediatric Physical Therapy for a Child with Down Syndrome ru-vid.com/group/PLAkJbMrHyKjPqgM4rbEV8G1bMdC1Dyzaw
Thank you so much for sharing this! I’ve been getting worried about my son as he keeps having torticollis to the left then the right and back again. He’s been to chiro 3 times already and it was sorted each time, but didn’t last. After watching your video I realised it’s the GERD meds I’m on that’s aggravating it each time. Feeling a bit silly but very relieved now!
How she now? what age she walked..my baby is 2 year old now and little bit same as her style of walking but shes donet have down sydrome..im worried to my baby thats why im asking how long that baby walked
Myla started walking around two years nine months old. Here is her playlist so you can see for yourself how she is doing now. Pediatric Physical Therapy with a Low Tone Baby/Child ru-vid.com/group/PLAkJbMrHyKjMZYC1aYPuXrp-I9VFpNhCu

Hi ...I am Sonal From India. My Son now 3years old is suffering from SpinocerebellarAtaxia29. He is doing physio therapy from past 1 year. He is now able to sit, crawl a bit, stand using wall but due to ataxia there is a constant movement in his body plus he is having low strength in his knees, also hyperextended legs which is why he is not able to stand independently nor walk. We have achieved many milestone with the help of therapies which we are doing in our local place itself. It's a kind request to your if there is any possibility you can help in make him stand. We guys are really stucked in this pattern from a long time. Please Help us if possible. 🙏
I am sorry. I am unable to provide treatment recommendations for a child. I have not specifically evaluated personally. I am delighted you have access to Physical Therapy. I wish you the very, very best.
My son is 2 months old and has torticollis on the left side, but when he is lying on his back, he turns his neck to all sides. I only notice the difference because in tummy time position and when I carry him, he doesn't turn his neck to the left at all. If I try to position him looking to the left, he immediately turns back to the right. And he has a nodule on his neck in the right side.
@@pediatricPTexercises thank you! The pediatrician made the recommendation, and I am waiting for the appointment. I am watching your videos to try to help him as soon as possible, I''ll start with the exercises.
My baby tilts his head to the left when i hold him. He also prefers to look on the left when sleeping. What side torticollis he has? Which muscles are weak, right or left? Thank you
@@violetagira5128 your child does not follow the typical pattern. I would recommend you consult with a local therapist to can assess your child and provide hopefully correct and accurate answers.
Hi thank you for the video! Its definitely an exercise that i will try with my little boy who is 10 months old and not yet crawling (he also has NF1). Do you by any chance have a link for the wand? My baby would love it!
Looks like Myla was having a little bit of that problem here. Here is my crawling playlist. Maybe there are some suggestions in these videos Crawling ru-vid.com/group/PLAkJbMrHyKjNjoKpiuB0mff3oAalw1DZA
I have mild cerebral palsy, there are so many things that I can relate to Rachel’s experience. I also went to college. I have worked in a group home before and I totally agree Rachel doesn’t belong in a group home. But yet it’s extremely hard to find help especially when you need 24 hour care. My dad worked for many homes for children and was a pioneer in opening up group homes for the developmental disabled in the area. He gets a phone call from one of his colleagues. Whose family member had cerebral palsy and couldn’t find a job. But my dad was a great stepping stone getting her a job in social work. You have no idea how many times I have had to step up and defend myself because people treat me as an intellectually disabled person. Due to my speech problem. This isn’t a Joe blow off the street, these are professionals.
Hi ,my baby is almost 2 months old, I’ve been doing these exercises regularly and im seeing improvement Will she be 100% normal if i continue doing this? How much time will she need??
I cannot speak to your child specifically because I have not evaluated your child. Generally speaking, the earler you start, the better the child does. If you want recommendations specifically for your child, please consult with a local therapist. In the meantime, here is my Torticollis playlist Torticollis Treatment ru-vid.com/group/PLAkJbMrHyKjOS1oT3rtE8PzHf_KL-dAz9
Thank you so much as soon as I started doing the side sitting, he started standing up immediately. I was trying to do it from the front that wasn’t working.
Thank you so much for this! I appreciate that the Head Control Scale is a comprehensive and objective measure tool to evaluate a patient's Head Control, especially in different positions. I would want to request if there may be an updated link to the Assessment Tool? The link doesn't seem to be working anymore. Thank you so much! :)

If this is level 4 (severe), what is my neighbor, 19, who cannot even speak (grunts only, some drooling) and seems far worse than this woman? Serious question
@@pediatricPTexercises Thanks, I just assumed a level 4 (severe) was the "worst". I think my neighbor understands far more than I initially gave her credit for but her caretakers have never said a word so I'm left with trying to figure it out as I engage with them when her and caretakers ride around the neighborhood in their golf cart. For all I know, she understands 100% of everything. I'm guessing the best way to interact is to include her in conversation and assume she understands. It's obvious she does understand things but is it 10%? 50%? 100%? Wish I knew.
I'm 40 years old, and I've walked on my toes my entire life. I tear up regular shoes because I do it without thinking, but there were positives. When I was a kid I could run pretty fast and developed great balance because I even did martial arts on my toes. My son thinks I'm autistic, but I've never been tested.

Thank you for all the videos and content - it really helps to learn and educate yourself! I have a question - my LO is 3.5 months old - he started army crawling in sprouts since he’s 3 months old, and rolled from back to belly when he was 2.5. Is there a time where it is too soon to do exercises with him as far as exposing him to an all-4 position (with my full support) or helping him adjust his legs? On one hand I really see him struggling and wanting to find a solution - and on the other I’m not a professional and had a thought that I might damage his knees or ligaments (although the progress so far has been all his) Would really love to hear your thoughts!
It sounds like your child is doing quite well. I cannot speak specifically to your child, because I have not evaluated your child. but in general, I think these exercises would likely be fine, but not necessary. I wish you and your child the very best.
I recommend you find a local pediatric therapist. In the meantime, here is my head control playlist: Head Control ru-vid.com/group/PLAkJbMrHyKjNf7b1x0fPKdDimNNG2zfPj
Thank God I found your page, I am a mother who has been blessed with a strong advocacy and compelling compassion towards other moms who struggle to support their child. Now that my daughter has graduated from parent initiated ieps, speech, ot, aba, food therapy thanks to God planting that seed in me. It's now my time to pursue true knowledge and education to provide evidence and facts over those mom emotions. Then I'd be better essential in sharing tips that supported my daughter. I love what you represent and I ask, if you have space for another mentee or future pediatric physical assistant may you say yes to supporting me , answering questions, perhaps mentoring me in the future! I'm just on step one of completing initial steps with selecting the field I want to go in. An opportunity rose for me here in San Antonio after being fired from my job as a prayer call center agent in Feb as I sought accommodations to take my daughter to her 2/3 day a week therapies! It was the best thing that could have happened. It produced a nudge in me to fiercely adhere to her therapies, to cultivate the available time I had now to go into personal development and training and now schooling and certification funding has opened up to me. I am so thankful ❤❤❤❤❤.
