Exactly, which is why the price doesn't make sense. At the time I did the video, there were excellent neopixel sabers on sale for around the same price.
Tripod: ill pick you up and make redweed food of u😈 Me: But i was rooting for u guys at the whole time Tripod: ur crazy, pls go away ur scaring me Me: wanna hug? Tripod: NO! I SAID GO AWAY!
"For a time, I believed that humanity had been swept out of existence, and I stood in that cave alone, the last man left alive". H.G. Wells, the War of the Worlds.
what made me more scared about this is the way humanity is completelly hopeless... nothing we try Works, no weapon, no tech... How is said in the movie "its not a battle between diferent countries, its a extermination"
At the time of recording, Neopixels were on sale, especially for starter kits. This was a video made just to compare two sabers and the comment I made was a statement of what prices were reflecting at that time since many were wondering how this compares with the Legacy.
Most important is that the ignition on the new black series is very smooth unlike the old one where you can see the sequence of the leds by miliseconds.
This is probably the best War of The Worlds ambience I've heard so far, and also one of the only ones to include a heat ray sound effect. War of The Worlds aliens are the superior aliens.
@@lunchbox1553 the Qu took humans and altered their DNA just for fun, they put humans on a planet with such strong gravity they evolve to be squashed into a blob fish and have their limbs become useless, one of the human subspecies was forced to be on a planet with low gravity, so they had to evolve long necks and even a fall could shatter their neck bone, but the worst of all, was what they did with the people who fought against their invasion and actually fought out 2 invasions before being defeated during the 3rd, they altered their DNA to become a living filtering sewage system for their species for millions of years until the Qu died out and humanity was able to heal and evolve again, one of the species was also turned into antelope like creature, but retained all the consciousness and memories, they were used as living memory holders, they wanted to create, but due to their bodies being contorted into a way they cannot hold anything, they just sing into nothing, after the Qu are gone, there was go one to take care of them and all the knowledge was gone forever. I highly suggest checking out "All tomorrows" it's imo one of the best works of sci-fi with alien invasion, there is an audio book on youtube and its just as good! P. S. : sorry for a paragraph, it's just that there's a lot of things the Qu did and it's kinda hard to shorten it lol.
Aesthetically they look both awesome, but the sound and lighiting effects are amazing on the elite. Too bad for the price tho, here in italy they are 359 euros but the nepixel replicas cost even more so maybe its a fair deal for a licensed original replica, while the legacy costs 185 and i don't know which one to buy :/. Anyway, how did you get the elite so early? Here they are supposed to ship out on November 1st.
They both do look awesome, but with mine at least, the sound of the ignition and retraction is loud, but the hum and clash sounds are much quieter than on the Legacy. In terms of light, in person there is only a slight difference. I know some elite sabers are way better than their legacy counter parts and some are subpar, like the Leia for example. It is hit or miss with some of their lightsaber line. Definitely not worth more than the legacy. It wouldn't be an issue if it was cheaper but in my opinion you are not getting what you pay for. The overall weight of the hilt is light compared to the legacy. I feel if I were to drop it, it would eventually break. The ignition ring which the switch is located on was a bit loose which was noticeable when swinging or rubbing a hand or finger against it when swinging. When I bought my legacy I felt comfortable with the amount I spent and considering the quality I got. I returned the elite because I was that disappointed in what I spent for subpar quality. I bought the elite on the hasbro pulse site.
@@AirBub I got Skywalker Legacy lightsaber and I couldn't imagine it to be better and 185€ really is a good pricing imo; also got some force fx and they are more expensive and not as nice
In person the sabers are very similar in color. The Force fx hilt is also much lighter surprisingly and feels cheap in comparison to the Legacy. But somehow is $300. Not worth it in terms of sound, light and quality. The legacy is still a bit expensive but the hilt feels like quality. Actual weight and density, giving you a great feel and much better speaker. Didn't get it early, just bought it off Hasbro Pulse. I did return it by the way for a refund. Maybe I got a bad one with a bad speaker and board? I don't know but it definitely wasn't worth it to me to replace it.
@@stevenvaughan1572 Dang that's disapponinting to hear. I was basing my comment off this video : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3FqgfyLJFbM.html. At 11:08 you can see that it actually looks red (in the dark) instead of the typical orange color. I'm torn between getting the obi show versions of vader's saber, helemet, and hot toys (premium collecitables 12 inches only authorized USA seller is sideshow collecitables). Or waiting for 2025 for rots versions for rots' 20th anniversary. Maybe I just wont buy it then based on your review. Thanks for your response.
@@seb6226 Absolutely! Best thing to do is to do what your gut is telling you. I pre-ordered the DX23 Hot Toys Darth Vader because I know it will be a collectors piece and I missed out on the Rogue One version which has been considered the best hot toys version of vader. In regards to the black series helmet, those are actually worth the money. I have the first version that was released a few years ago and besides the flaws with it that have been fixed with the new version it was worth it. So I am getting the helmet. The black series line tends to have good products. The only thing that tends to make them "bad" products is price. You should get what you pay for and to me in my opinion, I wasn't getting what I was paying for with Vader's saber. Build quality was just lacking and my ignition switch ring was a bit loose. Really noticeable when you swing when your hand or finger pushes against it. I'm not knocking anyone that thinks it's worth it or anything. Just in my opinion and my experience I don't think it is.
Tentacle smashing your windows, coming right at you. You try to run away, you're going for the basement. The tripods walks-by when you're hald-way through the stairs, your house still holds up, but you ? You have nowhere to hide, you can jump and break both of your legs and live just a few secondes of agony. Crawling down, hoping to fall in your basement in time. Or, accept the faith, you where caught by surprise by a super predator. You cannot hide, cannot fight back, you cant go upstairs, a tentacle with a seringue is approaching you, you close your eyes...
If you mean the 2005 movie, the only 2 aspects I found as cheesy was Robby wanting to fight the aliens without putting his sisters survival first, and the scene where it was raining clothes. But at the same time Robby’s house was leveled, after he saw rays house get destroyed, he then tried to save people on the ferry, which probably all died, I’m sure that combination would make anyone vengeful.
kind of terrifying that you hear for what I know, an entire Division getting wiped out in 30 seconds. and probably also half a Battalion before that and at the end the Tripod uses it's horn again to signal that there's more targets
@@arandomuser6935 I didn't know if you already knew about it, so I was planning on pointing you to it if you didn't. Anyway, if anyone stumbles across this video and you're curious, the game is literally called "War of the Worlds" on Steam.
