TBH, not only do Chen and Riggs look like very good people who know and love what they do, but I'm actually interested in watching The Spider now. Funny thing was I actually dreaded it upon its initial teaser, because it looked like another Brightburn/Blood and Honey scenario of taking a beloved character popular with children and adults worldwide and turning him into a slasher villain. Well, turns out The Spider is ACTUALLY a Fly 1986-style body horror tragedy that asks the question of "What if Peter Parker DIDN'T bond with the Spider DNA properly?". The concept of a version of Peter who didn't have the genetic code that allowed him to accept the DNA and wound up experiencing a physical breakdown as he turned into a Man-Spider rather than the Spider-Man (hence the title "The Spider") is honestly ripe with potential, and I should know. This idea was explored a lot in official elseworlds and a dream sequence in the 1994 show, and honestly? it's so cool to actually have it be immortalised in a fan-film. That is serendipity.
This is an incredible story about how one individual can make a difference despite of the challenges, obstacles, and risks. Irena carried herself with empathy and decency. Looking forward to the film on April 19th! Thanks for the interview with Sophie Nelisse who has received excellent reviews for her portrayal of Irena.
Catalina ("Tabitha") says the From-world is unrealistic. And while that of course is true when we watch it through very literal glasses, I also think the show somehow manages to give a very true and real poetic picture of our actual world, where we have the beauty of nature and the idyllic countryside and community on one hand, but then there is the horror and craziness and fear on the other, Our world IS like that. To live in a war zone must be like having monsters outside your windows, and in a toxic family the monsters look like your closest kin. And then there is the monsters in our own minds.
I was surprised by the ending, a departure from the usual exorcist recycles we've had over the years ever since the original in 1973. Very interested in the obvious sequel.
The film was sensational, until the ending. I was immersed emotionally throughout the film. The depiction of Adam's determination to lead an honest, mature, and sober life for himself, but most importantly he wants his son Jimmy to know what kind of man his father has become. It is evident Adam has remorse for the crime he'd committed when he was younger and that he wants to live the rest of his life loving his son. The juxtaposition of the characters created a perspective for each of them. Throughout the entire film I expected Adam to be forgiven and to live as an example for his son. Unfortunately, Allocco chose another ending. This would have been one of my favorite films had the ending been different!
It was a shocker of an ending for sure. But I think Allocco was going for as authentic a story as possible so it made sense that he would choose an unexpected twist of an ending like this.
Chauncey’s story is similar to Megan’s This movie and Megan are produced by the same people. They know they are similar. I am seeing this movie because of what one of the trailers said What if your imaginary friends came to life and attacked you because they didn’t like that you ignored them. I found that to be interesting
@@HowardsHaunt i enjoyed the movie too There were some twists i didn't see coming Definitely going to see the movie again to see if i missed something or if you couldn't the twist coming
