Your prediction about Colorado was flawed because by your own admission it was solely on the basis of their performance against a rival in their building early in the season. The reality is that Nebraska beat CU by exactly as much as CU beat them the prior year at Folsom Field. The Buffaloes played an absolute dumpster fire of a first half against the Huskers, but did not give them a point in the second half. That half alone should have told you to reserve judgment. But you like everyone else not aware of how the program has changed under Deion’s leadership decided to just pile on and say Colorado would be trash and not be better than last year. The Buffaloes have already exceeded their conference win total, so by that metric, your prediction has already failed. Own it. Don’t try to explain it away. You were wrong.
Several people asked me how and when I came to the conclusion that Colorado would win only 3 games. I then explained, simple as that. You don't like my reasoning but this video was explaination of why I thought they would be terrible this year.

I’m a say I’m in between cause before Deion was talking, the media was going at his neck about going to Colorado and bringing some of his players, even Jackson St. was in on the bashing. Also, no team has scored more than 7 points in the second half of any game this year. CU defense is real, we already know about the offense, notwithstanding the o-line. CU continues to get better each week in all three phases of the game. Many of us saw this. The question is, why didn't you? Looking forward to the video...

From watching them play last year and how terrible they looked against Nebraska in the 2nd game of the season. They couldn't stop the run, couldn't establish the run, couldn't protect Shedeur to give him enough time to allow him to throw the football (which is the best part of their offense)...the defense looked really bad for much of the game. And I thought to myself, if their offensive line looked like it got worse and they couldn't stop Nebraska, how could they beat many other teams going forward? However, they improved greatly since that game and I'm giving them all credit for that. From your assessment of that Nebraska game, you knew they would be ok????
@mackavelimillz the 2nd half V. Nebraska started me thinking they could be better V. the run. Since that 2nd half they only given up 7 points to each team they've played in each 2nd half (meaning the coaches are making the necessary adjustments and the players are executing). They've had problems with qb running out of a passing situation mainly). So fast forwarding to this game. If UCF couldn't pressure Sheduer, how were they going to keep up? What's lost in drive by Colorado analysis is how good their corners cover. In this game, it allowed them to comfortably stack the box. I think you have to go back to Baylor to see how good Hodge's play is (he got beat for the td, but he was in always in great position on that same receiver the rest of the game). And Travis is Travis. So, UCF couldn't throw on them. And had a difficult time running. UCF's qb draws and designed runs didn't hurt Colorado like all of their prior opponents off schedule runs did. As great as Jefferson is as a runner, he's just mid as a passer. So, my pregame thoughts were if it's really windy, Colorado could be in trouble throwing the ball. But when I saw it wasn't very much wind, I felt Colorado would win. After the game, when Coach Prime addressed the team, he revealed he told them he believed they'd win by 10. I thought 7 or 14 because I believe styles makes fights. And UCF's style is tailored made for Colorado.

I assessed what I saw...Colorado looked terrible asking Nebraska and the offensive line looked worse than last year's offensive line during that game. Defense looked terrible, run game was non existent. That's when I made my prognostication that the team would not be bowl eligible and would only win 3 games.
