Why were things in big cities back then were more stable politicians have made a complete mess of things. The shengen agreement politicians have sold us down the river for money its every person for theme today.
Love the city born in Liverpool 1963 been here ever since and wouldn’t live anywhere else.these days has its crime but that’s just the times of 2024 anywhere in the world. ✌🏻

I think scouse culture is growing by the year and much more embraced than the 60's and 70's. It is also becoming more independent away from being english as well

11:46 The Old Post Office, School Lane - a regular of mine back in the 80’s. There was a supermarket opposite called ‘Moneysave’ I stacked shelves there in the evening after school in the mid 70’s.😊
I was also a shelf stacker in money save after school. ('74 to '76) like a lot of kids from Shorefields (nee Dingle vale and Toxteth tech). Moneysave was haunted by ghosts from the blue coat school, and no one would go down to the freezers after sunset. But everyone had no problem going to the Post Office.
6:27 Liverpool Stadium, a flea pit, never saw boxing here but many bands in the early 70’s, Black Sabbath, Uriah Heep, Dr Feelgood, Hawkwind, Thin Lizzy, Bad Company etc.
I and my family know this Muslim woman for many years in front of us is very sweet person behind our backs is very vulture along with husband the husband work in the Pakistani ctr in Liverpool
In this area part of the UK the kids are are not disciplined the kids drink alcohol and smoke because the parents do the same thing and wonder at night time I am surprised some of the kids and I went to Yemeni newspaper shop the woman had remarked about me and I ignored her remarks but personally I wanted her not to make stupid remark if she made the stupid remark I would insult her about religion Islam
Great video...the change in Lodge Lane over the decades is unbelievable its really run down and neglected I grew up around there in the 60's but left Liverpool in the late 70's and Lodge Lane was so nice back then
Thanks for posting this - wondered if you have any old pictures of Windsor View (just off Lodge Lane)? My Grandad lived there, he was the last to leave, which really did the Council's head in who tried for years to rehouse him, but he just wouldn't leave :)
I'll have a look for you, if you're researching try Solway street you may have more luck maybe someone from the youth club may have some. I will post the ones I find.
