What’s a great channel. I tuned in originally to watch your excellent Banshee 200 tent video that you made quite a few years ago. I now see you’ve done a lot more. But with so many years passed, I wonder whether you married Callum? You looked great together in that Banshee one! Anyway, I do hope that you will make some more videos you have such a lovely exuberance.
The reviews on this brand really are love or hate. This one you’re wearing is the best looking jacket I’ve seen yet. I gotta look it up I hope they make a men’s. I’ve also not seen them outside RU-vid here in California but it’s been a year or two since I went into REI
I’m already a convert - been using it for the past 12 years after falling out with boil-in-the-bag GoreTex and can’t believe some of the negative comments I hear about Paramo. It’s hands down the best gear for the mountains. And it’s more waterproof, I’ve tested it in the harshest Scottish weather.
Hi. That was an excellent talk. It's so true to buy well, but look after kit and make it last. That is exactly my thinking. It makes so much sense to look after the planet first rather than piling up the landfill. You have my full support with your standpoint. A fellow mountaineer. :-)
love camping ecc but ,sorry i just clicked on this video ,because i just love your hair,,i,...its lovly ,sweat girl to,,, hope you have a lovly time camping .
Boil-in-the-bag ration packs are my choice. There's a wide variety available for as little as £2,50 each. Heat them up and then you have the hot water for a brew. It's easy to add noodles, fresh veg and spices etc. to add interest and vary taste. 😁
But the colours tho...🤮 then put the paramo colours in combination 🤮🤮 Performance is paramount, but I cannot understand why apart from the pumpkin, moss and turquoise the other colour shades are, for me prohibitive...
Excellent review....! I've used Paramo for 8 years and wouldn't use anything else. Yes it's expensive, but as with everything else in life, you get what you pay for. Just bought a secondhand windproof Paramo jacket for half the price of a new one and its like new anyway. Like the young lady said, look after them and they'll last for decades.
Have you found the handwarmer pockets yet...? Unless the ladies is different, all the Paramo I've used (I'm a massive fan, practically live in my Velez Adventure Light) have zipped handwarmer pockets inside, reached via the vents. Took me a while to realise they were there too 😆
I've got the velez smock light. Is it just me or is the velcro on the wrists stitched on back to front? My natural instinct is to pull the hook tabs on the flap in a circular motion towards the outside of my body, ie clockwise around the right wrist as I'm looking down my arm and anticlockwise round the left wrist. Mine do up the the other way around. I feel this is really unnatural... How 'bout you?
This was quite interesting, how come I have forgotten to carry spare shoe laces which can definitely be useful if the nasty stuff hits the fan! Also the idea to use thermos for cold drinks must be put to use next summer. BTW do you carry a water filter system of some kind, too? I usually carry some duct tape for sudden repair needs, in addition to a needle and thread. Back when I used to lead a scout group I also packed some extra plastic bags and socks in case someone happens to dip their shoe deep enough to collect water inside. Remove wet sock, put a dry sock on and then the bag over it to protect it from the wet shoe - pf course not a very durable solution if there's still long walk ahead, but may save the day in less demanding situation.
Hi, we’re planning on doing the ledge route this December (we’ve done it in the summer before) did you park in the main car park and walk round to the north face?
