@@Michael_63 I turned my track down to 10 volts. That’s what it’s running on in the video. It handles pretty good on the wood. Who knows what it will do on Dave’s track. At least it will be entertaining. 😀🏁 Thanks!
Good Video Tadd, it make s me think about where I was a year and half ago. I had just gotten back into slot cars after 50 years. I watched Shotgun Dave teach me how to mold a body and Jorge showed me how to build a Chassis. I put the two together and build a 67 Cougar similar to my first car I had as a kid. Then my second build was for Jorge's Midget Madness, which was so much fun watching him and Frank from NY drive my car around his oval. I just recently built a car for Harry's Proxy, I finished near the bottom of the pack, but I had fun, and thats all that matters
@@SpareRoomSlotCars That’s right Gene. Keep after it man your doing awesome! You’ll only get better with each build. Keep challenging yourself it’s good for ya!!
QQ for Jorge. I watched the HRW wrap up last night where you added the golf club self adhesive tape to the cars. Was it the .5 gm per inch or 2 gm per inch? I assume the only difference between the two is the thickness of the weight, correct?
Right on. There is so much info out there ,between HRW, Shotgun Dave, Jorge. They are who inspired me. And your a inspiration also. Plus people always say I wish they built this slot car. If it's an American built car, the best way to get it is to build it.
That is very cool and inspirational, it makes me want to go out today and make one as well. If I ever did get around to making a twin, I'd name it Tadd in respect to you.
@@SwiftSlots Well thanks Rob. I just wanted to try something wild for Shotgun Dave’s challenge. Who knows how it will do on his track. Will be interesting to see.
That's very cool! When I did my Carrera GO 997, I fitted it with an 18k slim can and was as you said, not as 'peppy' as I wanted it. I then fitted a 25k in it off camera and it became everything I wanted, a total rocket !!!!
Holy mackerel!! That’s a rocket Tadd! Michael is right, I run the track at 10 volts. Try that out and see if it settles down a bit. Can’t wait to run it!
