Hi everybody. I am Sean and I started this channel with my son. We started out learning how to fish from kayaks and then moved on to ice fishing. Who knows what fishing adventure we will take on next, but we would love it if you came along for the ride. We are based out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
I've believed for a long long time that the bigger the lure you throw, the bigger the fish. I'd love to see you throw a big topwater rat in those lily pads and land some pike.
cool capturing that strike! Got the #4 monkey off your back. Casting that will your arm and shoulder tired for sure! 32 1/2" beauty on the 2nd one. 8:56 got a little wet...lol 8lb 35" gorgeous Pike on the Pike lure. Finishing off with another nice one. Great outing Sean!!!
Holy smokes! Save some big pike for when I get back! 😂 Glad you see you killing it out there Sean! I’m hoping I’ll be able to get out this weekend onto the big water!
I hope you feel better soon and nice video as usual. I won one of your giveaways once. got me a black angling spiders spoon, and a shiny red and blue spoon and a sticker
Sean great giveaway. a little late to the video so hope you are doing better now. too bad we don't have many pikes close to where I live. too bad on losing that big pike.
Feel better, Sean. There's no doubt a bug going around. It went through our house over the last few weeks. The new Len Thompson looks great. I've been thinking of putting in an order for a batch for DC Outdoors. Congratulations to the surprise winner. I hope to win one myself. Episode strike was fun. Loved the constant action.
Nice content on the Bow. Looks like you have some trebble ie 3 hooks on some of those lures. Those can really destroy a trouts mouth and chance for survival, especially if your just catch and release. I have caught a trout with trebble hook in the past and it was so buried had to cut it out... trout did not survive. Prob wouldn't make for a good vid especially anyone watching you downtown. Been there, you feel like a real jerk. Tight lines.
Thanks, yes some of my lures do have a treble. I have used both single hooks and trebles. So far I have not had any fatalities, but appreciate that they can be tougher to remove, depending on where the fish gets hooked
Getting strikes on camera is awesome but so much work. When I go out, I film continuously to capture every moment. That means however for every hour of fishing requires 2 hours of editing. 8 hour day of fishing is a lot of content to go through. I fully understand when some only turn on the gopro after the fish hits. It's far easier to edit. One downfall of that is I have forgotten to turn on the camera for a fish sometimes, I am used to it recording the whole time.
I was told that the easiest way to avoid all of that footage is to use the looping feature in the GoPro. I am going to give it a shot soon. Seems like a good solution to not having a bunch of unwanted footage
@@AnglingSpiders Basically that is how a dash cam in a car works. personally I fear I would have something cool happen, forgot in the moment to save that footage and loose it. I'll stick to the guaranteed method even if it is more work for me.
I see you have a couple of Frogs in the tackle box. Have you tried these for pike across the top of the weed beds. I first tried these at Carolside lake and they smashed it about 3 foot from the edge near the boat launch.
