Nice setup. Got everything to set up one of these last year but not enough time to put t together the way I wanted. Hard to think that it is that time of the year already. BTW the main reason that I have heard to space the fog machine output nozzle about 1 to 2 inches away from the down tube going into the mister unit is so that the super heated liquid being pumped out of the machine has enough air to mix with to produce better "fog" both in density and volume. I watched a video someone had made about it a long time ago. I don't remember which channel it was on. Hope you found that information useful. Thanks for sharing.
It really sneaks up on you fast! I wonder if we saw the same video. I was looking for the one I saw so I could give credit. But I couldn’t find it and I’m pretty sure I had saved it in my RU-vid downloads, but it’s gone…. If you find it, please forward
That noise wasn't a pump cleanliness issue, it was the fog machine not registering fluid in the tube. The pump needs to warm up and gather fluid in the tube first. When you turn ur machine on first let the fluid get through the entire tube by letting the machine run with that noise for a few seconds.
All those criticizing Rosetta and Duolingo have completed neither for even a single language. I have done both for German; and I can assure you they are the best applications available, requiring only minimal daily effort. Of course they will not get you to B1 or B2 level by themselves, but give you a strong foundation till A2 level, that too with just a 5 minute daily excercise for 2-3 years.
Honestly, I don’t think it matters. I buy Froggy Swamp Juice, but dilute it with distilled water and it does an amazing job. I have even started making my own, it is pretty easy to do.
Have you tried the Chauvet pro cloud 9 before ?I ask this because this model seems to get poor reviews frequently. I’m asking you if you think this machince is worth buying for outdoor use as oppossed to the cloud 9 model. I’m debating on buying this for my outdoor Halloween lawn display I live in New York let me know your thoughts thanks !?
@lindasprance3208 the pro cloud 9 seems impressive. I haven’t had any experience with it though. One concern for me is the weight (120 lbs). The other is the cost… it has impressive output, but you could buy 2 cumulus machines for less than the price of a cloud 9. If you do end up getting the cloud 9, I would love to hear your opinions. I can say that I’m very happy with the cumulus, and it doesn’t get great reviews. But I think that’s because people don’t understand how to use it. Hope this helps. Good luck! And happy Halloween 2024! 🎃
@@JeremyPrend if you say it works well outdoors i will def consider it I asked because I wasn’t able to find any reviews and or videos of it outdoors thanks so much , you post great content and I’m so grateful you took the time to respond to me !
@@lindasprance3208 aww. Thank you. But I can’t stress enough, the wind will always win. If it’s too windy, there’s not a machine out there that will let you keep your low lying fog. Good luck and keep me posted!!!!
I just bought 10 new pumps for $50 which is a bargain. I’m going to run a test and leave one pump with fog fluid in it until next year and see if it still works next year. One of the problems with these pumps is they sometimes haven’t been magnetically charged properly so they stop working if you don’t use it often vs them actually getting blocked by fog fluid.
Wow!!! Fantastic deal! Where did you score that from. Let me know how they do! I’ve actually gotten so good at pump changes that I can do it in less than 10 minutes
at the end of the season, they say clean it out my running some vinegar.. that actually just descales the inner rubbing and copper piping. the fluid refills is mostly water, so there is bound to be mineral buildup left behind from water being brought to such high temperatures... with the instruction says to leave the pump dry if going in storage, ignore it. never do that.. after cleaning it with vinegar, run a good amount of fog/haze fluid through it. you want to get rid of all the vinegar in this system because it's acidic and will corrode parts. the haze/fog fluid will keep the pump lubricated while in storage.. if the pump is allowed to dry out, chances are it will seize up. also, please machines use the same solenoid pump used in many commercially available espresso machines. Chauvet May charge $30-40 for it, but it's less than $15 on AliExpress..and free if you salvage it from an unused or broken espresso machine. (just make sure to match the voltages on the pumps)
It really depends on the temperature. If you’re in 80 degree weather, it won’t last as long. However, if it’s that warm… wet ice would work great and so much cheaper. It’s all about the contrast in ambient temp. Where do you live?
Not a dumb question at all! But yea the temperature of the fluid doesn’t matter since it’s heated up at a fairly quick rate. Send some photos of your display!
I’ve been using the Forggy’s Freezing Fog. But I am not sold on it. I think it’s too thick for the pump. I honestly don’t think the fluid matters so much. I even made my own last year (major hassle) but the effects were pretty sweet. I’ll have to order some Poseidon to see you that does compared to the Freezing Fog Juice
I’ve got two of these foggers, so I just hooked up one to start my Halloween display and it’s doing the same thing. Thanks for the video. I’ll be getting two pumps on order. This must be pretty common with Chauvet foggers, my geyser foggers did the same thing.
It’s just not made to sit for long periods. But the good news is, it’s a simple pump change. Running this machine on a frequent basis would help, but not practical. I’ve just excepted I’ll need to change the pump every year. Glad this video helped!
@@JeremyPrend I dont know what Im adding animatronics wise, I wont do evil satanic stuff. Witches and skeletons and graveyard stuff is my limit. However, home depot has some awesome stuff this year. I might add, another fog machine and lights and Graveyard tombstones. I have been setting the Spirit store here. I love the Graveyard setup they have with mausoleum, but its all thick cardboard and would literally fall apart outside if it was like last year and rained. What im setting up at our store is at 1:23 on this video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3_Essi-hidY.htmlsi=g-cEzQ7nwr5Ayloa&t=83
Brian, great question!!! The fog machine will definitely work without this set up, and has some sweet effects. In this video, I was going for the low laying fog as you would see in a graveyard. If it’s not windy out and if you chill the fog, it stays low to the ground rather than it floating away.
Nah, not yet at least. LOL. I keep it age appropriate for my kids’ ages. In fact, you may notice that all my props get sunglasses when they are out on display. That’s to make them a little less scary for my 5 year old. Thanks for stopping by my channel @ismewhat1234
Your editing skills are getting top notch brother. The only addition i think we will have this year is giant spiders and webs with a dangling corpse. My son wants to be a ghostbuster again but with updated, expensive life like ghostbuster gear.
Aww! Thanks so much. Only 300 hours short of the 4000 public watch hours. Trying to get some content out early this year. Can’t wait for your 2023 updates. I’m working on some tombstones and using your technique from 2022.
Very true! But that’s mostly (99%) sublimation, outside and in a well ventilated area. For such a short period, it’s harmless. But you are correct, dry ice needs to be handled with extreme care.
