Vic Originally from Somerset, I’m a mum of two, who went traveling in 2000 and ended up living in South London. I work full time, and love to travel, eat good food, try new things, celebrate almost everything with prosecco and dancing in the kitchen with my children. I’m addicted to home organisation tips on RU-vid and I get anxious at the idea of over-packing. I recently picked up motorcycle riding after a iatus of nearly 20 years and bought myself my first big bike, Jeanny the Honda CB650R Approach to life: Wing it.
Nico I grew up in Hyères in France and moved to the UK in 2004, for 1 year. Here I am, 20 years later still living in the London Suburbs. I live a very busy professional life that gives me the opportunity to travel frequently around the world. I love my children, my hometown, traveling and cheese, … and V! I have a passion for photography, EDC and recently passed my full license and enjoy riding my Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. Approach to life: plan it.
Thanks a lot, it was quite the adventure! As to our best road, it's so hard to say. Peak District and Yorkshire Dale's were awesome, Scroland, even in rough weather, was mind-blowing. Our goal is to break it down for you guys in a mini series soon 😉
Oh Bruno, we can't stop talking about what our next together could look like! We couldn't have dreamed of having better teammates. All the best to you and Loic!
Thanks. Camera and lenses are top tier, so they are meant to be weather sealed. We just wish we could trust brands to deliver products the way they advertise then without having to read the small prints all the time!
They are based on Kent. You can find them on Facebook and IG VikingMotorcycleSeat. Price will vary depending on your needs and the materials you choose. Speak to the guys, they will tell you everything you need to know.
I have just found you and enjoyed your easygoing way of chatting about all things motorbikes... it's made me want more. So, i'll be doing some binge watching every time it rains here. Thanks and good luck with the future of your channel. Ride safe, Steve.
My wife had exactly the same problem with her Hood jeans, whilst touring around Wales a couple of weeks ago. She also took the knee armour out to resolve the discomfort. Enjoy your adventures.
Thank you. We use the Insta360 Ace Pro. We don't get all the tech behind, but the gist of it is that it has an AI cheap that does wonders in low light situations. Link in description 😉😅
Thanks Max! It was such a cool Mad Max like bike. Shame he was dripping oil all over the roundabout. I hope he made it to its destination safely. I suspect we might see him at the Malle Beach Race next weekend
Hey I’ve just bought a 24 CB650R (without e-clutch) as my first bike. Got a great deal so I totally agree that value for money really matters. I got the Matte Green - I absolutely f--ing love it. The new TFT and new tail are deffo the best upgrades on the 24.
Exactly! The sound was not as bad before processing it out of the editing software. Frustrating, but we are aiming to improve our production quality every time. Thank you for the feedback. It helps us greatly
Couldn’t agree more! I went through the exact same decision making process and ended up with a 2023 Black Edition CB650r over a Street Triple! Also, I totally agree on the looks front; the 2023 MY looks so much better! Enjoy the ride 😊
Sorry for the poor sound. Does anybody know why there is such a difference between the file created out of FCPX and the finished uploaded product on YT?
That’s a wise woman. Buy what feels right. Ride it and have a blast for 5000 miles or whatever and if you want something different after your skills improve or if you want to do a different style of riding, sell it and buy something else. I’ve owned six different bikes in the last nine years and loved them all. I like trying different things.
Hello again. Thank you for taking the time to not only watch the video but also count how many times my verbal tics came up. I am working on it, and hopefully, you will see an improvement along the way as you carry on following our adventures.
No, it does. It is mounted in a way that even if the wind had enough purchase on it that it could push it, it would push it further against the neck strap. Plus, it is also attached to the lav microphone. No risk there.
Super looking forward to this series. This is a bucket list item for me so will be great to see you both tackle both the Rally itself and the prep activities. The longest trip I’ve done on my Interceptor is South Coast to Peak District and back over a couple of days. All on B roads, lots of fun, my rear end was feeling it once I got back so I think you’re spot on to be planning in some ‘warm up’ trips. Great channel guys - keep up the great work, Cheers,
Thank you so much for your kind words. The adventure awaits. I changed the seat of my interceptor from day 1, and it is rather nice. Vic is going to upgrade hers soon 😉 As for the rally, still 3 months to wait. Hopefully, the weather will be nice
if you prefer the thicker grips, you could try "grip puppies" on your bike. I put them on my bike, and they made the throttle control was better even though I have small hands. My Husband has an Interceptor and I find that heavy as well compared to my bike.
@@oneweekoutoftwo7173 I use them over heat grips and they work fine. I use Oxford grips with a separate control on the handle bar. If yours have controls integrated on the grip then of course they would cover the controls
I drive a Street Triple and I'm pretty sure the Honda is a more versatile and "all-rounded" bike than this hooligan on wheels of a bike. Very tempted by it. Also I believe there is a big price difference, with the CB competing more with the quite likable Street 660 S
Briefly, for the looks, but we couldn't find a place near us where we could try one. The 900 looks even nicer but was a bit out of our price range and much bigger
Really bad decision. Str is absolutely stunning, cbr is boring to ride. Sound is not good. Cbr looks not good. Everytime i ride in the city with the sc project on it, a lot of people turn around. Corners are a dream. The quality of old triumph is on point. I started with the str 675 r as my first bike and there was never a problem, only fun overload everytime i ride it. 😊 but if you are happy, everything is fine! Ride safe
@@oneweekoutoftwo7173 yes its fine, for the str as beginner bike you need to have a lot of discipline. It is a smooth bike, but can make a lot of Power which can be Hard to handle. I personally love my decision and hope she and everyone Do it too with his own bike 😊
The first edition of these are known for oil leaks, and the 2nd run are known for clutch problems. They say they are have fixed those issues now. @@gdwxy
Excellent video.....I currently have an Mt-03 and am considering the CB650R....be careful with the tail tidy.....english biker dan had installed one on his, but found that the water, dirt, and mud flung right onto his back....here is his video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7IPH42thKJE.html
I shortlisted the 650 and previous generation street triple r for my first bike after passing my test last year. It came down to how I felt sitting on them both as I loved the looks of them for different reasons. I went with the R in the end. No regrets. Like you, I am not going after speed and adrenaline, but love that it has that capability. It was an incredible step up in power, quality and feel when I got out on the R the first time from only riding a Gladius I had done all my riding on to that point. Night and day difference. I know this will be all the bike I need for a long time as well. Happy riding both of you.
