The author has a talent! So spoil the music with trash from the sounds of the wind, the trampling of horses, prayers that do not exist in the film, which drown out the music. What is all this for? It's all reflected in the music!
Мало кто знает, но на самом деле Александр Невский напал на Тербовское епифсковство "малыми силами, быстрым ударом, на чужой территории" как говорится как учили.
Only problem is that the music has gotten pushed really far back into the mix when Prokofiev's score musically adds many of the background sounds in the music. I like what you did, but would push the music up in the mix and the rumbling horses down. Nice job
I really love what you’ve done but at times Prokofiev’s music is pushed a bit too far into the back. I really really miss it in the from below close shot of the Teutonic riders, the choral there is fantastically climactic and menacing, much more than the noises of horses. If you ever wanted to change this (push the music more to the front), it would be perfect! ❤ Thanks anyway though!
Really miss when movies could take their time to establish a shot, the fear and despair in the eyes of the men as they watch the Teutonic horde approuching. These days it would be jump cuts all to hell, dramatic zooms and other unecessary shit.
Guess where (and how) Alexander Nevsky is related to me? My YDNA line is Italian nobility from Naples/Venice Kingdoms OR my mother's paternal Greek nobility families (Petrocochino-Mavrocordatos)? Evidence from MytrueancestryDNA data.
This is a wonderful job, both visually and sonically. The sound on the original is so poor that it undermines the action - but you have improved it almost beyond recognition. It's a pity it ends so suddenly., though you've captured the most interesting bit of the battle, I think.
