Also if ya dig and enjoyed this video and what a drummer he was 😀 you may also enjoy the song " Most of All " By Glenn Kaiser and Where Roses Grow Live by Rez Band Awesome songs check them out. Also I remember hearing the song by Led Zepp " In My Time of Dyin " during my drug years and made me think about death and Jesus. Then a hippy friend that dug Jesus told me more of Jesus love and forgiveness and how I could also know Jesus love. So in 1981 I cried out to Jesus and wow man He came into my life and I had and have so much joy and peace and now know that through Jesus when I die I will be with Him in Heaven. Hey Jesus loves each of you also and yall can know Him if you are at all open. Just cry out to Him and a good question to ask yourself if you were to die today would you go to heaven ? And if yes why ? To find out more please read the Gospel of John in the Bible or check out the movie on RU-vid. 😀
Bonhams tuning NEVER changed. The Ludwig 3-ply clear maple shells with reinforcing rings were the best shells Ludwig ever produced, if not the greatest shells that anybody made. The green sparkle wrapped studio kit was the best sounding kit he played-hence thats why it was the kit every album from LZ II until the end was used in the studio.
I feel like Bonzo didn't care how the drums sounded, he mostly followed the guitar parts and played what the song needed. He was a genius at reading what that was. So wildly unorthodox and utterly perfect. He was never flashy for his own sake (well, he saved that for Moby Dick). And then, over there in the corner, is "The Secret Weapon" J.P.J., but that's another story altogether.
He is the click. The bass drum work, single bass drum we ll know of course. Listen to the fulidity here. Sicccckkkkkk. I love this bass drum pedal mechanics. He was the best of this type drumming obviously
I’m curious is this the first creative process of him drumming through the song or has Jimmy already given him riffs to emulate over and my guess it would be the latter because I’m hearing a little bit of Jimmy’s riffs in the background? it’s either that or I’m imagining them in my head? ❤
What you’re hearing could be the person just isolating the drums. Anything else isn’t supposed to be heard, it’s just still slipping into the audio. I’ve actually heard a lot of times some Led Zeppelin songs were built around Bonhams beats
