You're letting the secret out. I've been fishing these bayous for 45 years now. I have a secret weapon that catches everything in there and almost every cast.
How a snake can smell blood in the water I've found incredible. I filmed a snake cross a river to hit the gut pile from a walleye. Thing was, it was instant, that snake was there in minutes. I really don't like water snakes, pretty creepy, but important. Snakes are a good sign the river is healthy.
That big blue was nice. On another note, that is very dangerous fishing a deep concrete decline like that. I almost drowned years ago fishing on something similar in Dallas at Whiterock Lake. Be careful brother. Tight lines!
Usually fish will be intentionally released into these places by govt bodies to curb mosquito breeding and other pests. They dont magically appear there if there are no open inlets/outlets.
I don’t know man, I just got hooked on to your videos. I don’t live far from Houston. I’d like to try fishing the bayou sometime. Your really make it look fun. I hope this RU-vid lifestyle is treating you well man. 👍🏽 P.S u should make a catch & cook video on your favorite fish !
Most species of carp have teeth back of their mouth, before the throat area. Grass carp, Silver Carp, common carp all have it. it looks like crusher to me. More for crushing after they suck up their meal.
Alligator gar can extract oxygen from the air with a modified swim bladder acting as a primitive lung. They can stay out of the water longer than many fish.
I know I'm late to the show. But I always like watching your videos. I started watching to share with my nephew who is autistic. He loves fishing we are up in Maine.
The first hot days of Houston can trick you coming out of the winter. I was out as well and came home with heat rash. Love the content. You're doing great, young man!
Hey Bud how are the game wardens out here? And where’s the best places to fish? I haven’t fished that long a couple years I’m just not familiar with Houston
