Hello! We’re a family of 5 living on a pasture of our farm that we share with our family. We have dogs, Turkeys, Ducks, and Chickens. We are into DIY projects and they are never ending here. Follow us to see what life is like on The Waddling Pasture. You can also check us out on Instagram!
@@MySliceOfHeavenoutdoors hello and welcome! Thank you, we will be making the turkeys permanent home over the winter when everything slows down but it gets the job done 👍
If you heat up glass too quickly it might crack or shatter, similar to how ice cubes form cracks when you add them to warm water. Additionally, thoroughly boiling the jars can sterilize them, though that can also be done through other means.
What they said! If we are doing a big batch, sometimes we’ll bake the next round of jars in the oven while waiting for the canner to finish processing the full jars.
@@skepticknowledge8457 that is good to know! We have found multiple snakes which is not surprising for where we live. All snakes are safely relocated to the woods line 😊
Yes we are too very excited for this batch since the first round we didn’t get much but think it was more user error. Hoping to get a few ducks this time since we only got one out of the last batch.
Thank you for the comment, The parent videotaping is not working and is always aware of where the child is at all times. Also that is a half bath and it’s his grandfather working on a light switch well above reaching level for the little guy. (Sometimes it takes us a while to get videos out since mama is pregnant with twins and it’s a workout trying to get footage and watch a wild toddler 😂)
@@TheWaddlingPasture came for beautiful birds Stayed for avian porn Was so quick and casual i was unsure As a rooster mom i got over it, my shoes might not Have great week.
Question : Is it really necessary to have so much roof rafters ? Would it work with a 3d less and have long blocks in between to solidify the structure, as is done with wall stutters ? No building experience here, just wondering about cost/materials used/ good result. Thanks for sharing your work !! I am looking out to build a small cabin.
Hey thanks for commenting! There are many ways to frame the rafters, we were builders in New Jersey and always built to code witch was 16” on center, so that’s just the way we continue to frame, we have seen 24” on center from other builders as well tho!
@@TheWaddlingPasture Aaah, okay thank you !! Would you advise insulation in warm areas like Nevada, Arizona..? I have land in Spain and it only gets cold in the morning, sometimes freezing but not much. As soon as the day begins things heat up to 68°F... I have no idea how fast these type buildings lose built up heat from during the day. If you know about videos on the topic of cabins/ insulation please feel free to drop a link.
I always advise insulation in the roof or ceiling it will help with keeping heat in and also heat out in the hotter months! Sorry I don’t know of any videos of insulation for cabins but my brother has a RU-vid channel where he installs Rockwool but for the exterior of his house. His channel is called The Mione Life , I’m not that tech savvy but will try to see if I can comment the link separately.
@@alainvosselman9960 I’m not sure if it will help but this is his video doing the exterior insulation. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xs2pu5pb26M.htmlsi=4sQm_JR9otZJw_0l
