The University of Sheffield, School of Architecture is exceptionally dynamic, diverse and international with a lively and engaged student body. We are situated in the centre of the UK, in its greenest city, with easy access to all other key cities. We have consistently been rated at the highest level for the quality of our research and teaching. Live projects, working with real clients in the community, are an important aspect of what we do. It is for this reason that we enjoy a reputation for being perhaps the most socially and politically engaged school of architecture in the UK.

Great lecture, now I'd please like the follow-up talking about the gipsoteca of canova, and of course the brion tomb!

I would always glimpse and look at scarpa's work. Now I dream and relive it with this professor's explanation. ❤❤❤

1 a diferent aproach on how to work on pre existing buildings. 2 ways to detail elements of building. Combining diferent materials. That decoration is actually important

Excellent lecture by professor Murphy, certainly one of the leading scholars of Scarpa's work.

Best wishes Satwinder for the new programme. With the industry moving out of the recession it seems timely to have a closer relationship with practice. The Queen's University Success Through Architecture research project is our way of making similiar but different, strong connections with Part 1, 2 and varied models of practice.
