Great band, fabulous musicians and song writing. Kind of 60s rock R&B vibe. Looking forward to seeing them at The Forum (best small venue in UK as voted by NME mag) in Tunbridge Wells tomorrow night.
Apart from this being a great rock 'n' roll band, the Standard Lamps play homage to some great bands from the 60's, and they manage to write some timeless numbers, the vibe is best experience live in a small venue. But I hear they do ok with bigger stadia (they have backed the Who in the last year!). The Harmonica Song I saw them perform at the Tunbridge Wells Forum, fantastic, thanks boys, looking forward to seeing you soon.
Great! Good visual and sound recording! I was at the Birmingham Who gig on 9th Dec (and became a Standard convert). The RU-vid recording of the Birmingham show isn't such good quality, though the live performance was top notch. Thanks.
Saw this pending The Who. Was mightily impressed (sound quality better in the Arena than recording). Am now a Standard fan! (which is saying something, since the last band I became a 'fan' of was The Who way back in the day!)
