Who was right in the eyes of God? Is it right to call out sinful behavior, or should he have been given permission first from someone who organized the event and IS NOT God? IPrior to the end of 2023, I didn't go to church regularly since 1994. Maybe that is why I can speak to this without caring what one pastor feels about another, I don't know. I'm an edge case...shouldn't exist. Born again December 2023, spend my time alone with Jesus in solitude, as He states in Matthew. I'm feeling some angst right now. Take a step back, and look at this...are you furthering the positive works and teachings of Jesus Christ? If you don't see it, repent.

He okayed the performance so Mark should have said something to him privately. Also, it wasn’t a male stripper. Like why are people saying that? I do feel it’s not appropriate for church, but it’s not stripping. Jezebel was evil for SO MUCH more than anything that has to do with a pole and someone taking their shirt off. Like holy Batman that’s such a reach and disservice to the awful things Jezebel actually did. So I don’t even get the jezebel connection there. Anyway, seems like Mark is still Mark and he’s making more friends per his usual. That’s total sarcasm and a joke maybe a few will get. Anyway, it was kind of arrogant and kind of wasn’t. Apostle Paul says what offends one may not offend another but the one it doesn’t offend, should not partake in the thing in the presence of the one who it would offend. Paraphrasing. So it offended mark and made him think of jezebel, I think it has nothing to do with jezebel at all but totally weird at a Christian conference. He called it out. Whatever. He handled it well. The lead pastor took offense and felt embarrassed and I think his feelings are valid for that too.
Mark is known for his arrogance too and don’t find it at all surprising that John said “i was just talking to mark and he said nothing about this!!” It was wrong. Mark should have said something so John could reflect and talk to his own congregation about it.

Mark did the right thing. There has to be someone who leads against evil to encourage others to stand. Thank you Mark! God is your defense, no matter what the world might say.
I guess Mark’s apology could’ve been “I’m sorry if what I said but you uncomfortable but I’m not sorry I said it” the truth is light..and to someone who’s been in the dark so long it might be uncomfortable but the truth shall set us free
Thank you for pointing out how being in a position of leadership does NOT entitle you to being blameless. The only hierarchy in the church should be God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Jesus humbled himself to the lowliest place, yet he was king of the earth. I think the celebrity of being a name face pastor can sometimes lead to situations like we’re seeing here.
I live in Springfield and John Lindell is the pastor of the biggest MEGACHURCH in town... Of course it's going to be demonic. Mark, shake the dust off of your feet and hold your head high.

Being through the stages of grief after the abrupt end of an abusive relationship myself..i know exactly why Mark was saying those things - fear of man, fear of reproduction, etc... - the most amout of time he spent was with GOD the night before he came on stage... it was why he was there. John Lindel is wrong and is making this worse. You're embarrassing the body of Christ by your poor judgment, pride and inability to apologize for your poor judgment in having the stripper in the first place, then publicizing this dispute with your family! This kind of crap happens most often with mega-churches. I avoid them at all costs!

So, I watch Mark. I love his teaching on how men should return to bein MEN. Im NOT saying men should be controlling. Just that Id like to see men taking care of and ATTEMPTING to show respect, like they used to. Although the women nowadays make it hard, lol, itd still be good to see. As far as the performer, the dude literally had to take off his shirt to climb the pole like he did. Pole climbing is actually an Olympic event. Nothing wron with it. The meditation thing? Not a thing wrong with meditation. Now, choosing to do it in front of idols, thats a no-no. But God said to meditate on his word. That means studying it, then being still and quiet, listening for God to reveal His word. So, no, meditation is NOT a bad thing. Just be wise where you do it! As far as this guy spending time with monks....Jesus ate with publicans and sinners. To witness to them. How do any of us know that this guys wasnt witnessing to them? I mean, no, he shouldnt have did ANYTHING like them, he was wrong there. But everyone messes up, ya know? Mayhe he REALLY thought he had to do that to be able to witness? How do we know what is in his heart? Only God does. Prayer is needed here. I also think that its shameful for these two pastors to be making this dispute so public, for millions to see. Sinners be like, see? This is why i dont want to be christian, they dont practice what they preach, and they stab each other in the back, and let millions of people witness it. Lindell is ashamed and embarrassed this is why he is doing everything he can to make Mark look bad instead. He stood in front of his church and gave this message? What is he trying to prove? He was 100% wrong and is embarrassed that Mark called him out.

At the very least congregation of people who doesn’t agree with women doing this should absolutely not applaud men for doing this. I love to see someone stand up and speak the truth, and it doesn’t matter if they get taken off stage because we heard them. Truth is truth.

Well, according to the male stripper, who performs in gay strip clubs, he is NEITHER a FORMER stripper, NOR is he a Christian. It appears that his employment for the Men's Event was later justified by saying he was no longer a stripper and was a born again Christian. Neither of those claims is true. But - this is a Christian Men's Conference - a place to teach men to be STRONGER in their walk with the Lord, FORSAKING WORLDLY LUSTS and becoming more like Jesus. HOW does OPENING the CONFERENCE with a MALE GAY STRIPPER do ANY of that? And - swallowing the sword? Well, I'm a 66 year old grandmother who has been in church since I was 5, and even I know EXACTLY what that act represents to the male strip club patrons. They say that pornography is the most prevalent sin STRUGGLED AGAINST in the church. So you open the Men's conference with a male stripper/pole dancer, performing the act he normally performs in gay bars? HOW does THAT HELP the men who are struggling AGAINST THAT EXACT SORT OF STUFF. Tell them they have to quit going to strip joints, then bring the strip joint into the church? THIS DOES NOT MAKE SENSE! Sure - in the world it might be cool - but Christians are supposed to be walking away from that stuff? Is he going to invite Katy Perry to open his next Women's Conference? She, at least, would know the Scriptures.
