A CBC original comedy, KIM'S CONVENIENCE, the funny, heartfelt story of the Kim family and their downtown convenience store. In the 5th season, the family faces one of its toughest challenges yet as they navigate a difficult medical diagnosis for Umma (Jean Yoon). With Appa (Paul Sun-Hyung Lee) stepping up as the primary caregiver, and a recently graduated Janet (Andrew Bang) moving back home, boundaries are inevitably crossed. Meanwhile, Jung's (Simu Liu) time away at business school tests his relationship with Shannon (Nicole Power) as Kimchee (Andrew Phung) reconnects with his family, and his high school crush.
ive personally found Janet relatable just because of my personal experience as a 1.5 gen immigrant. However, in retrospect, I can acknowledge i've ignored Janet's terrible actions out of my own personal bias. She did a lot of things i hated Rachel Green for. Weird, cuz i am super attracted to Jennifer Anniston while i found Andrea Bang odd looking
Was a funny show with a good cast. If it didn't push the woke agenda so hard it would have been a great show. But as always people with an agenda tend to ruin everything they touch. Canada seems to be especially good at ruining things.
I hate when people ask other people that have taken something seconds after they take it well how do you feel well hold on you have to give it a second or a few minutes to take effect
This scene confused me . They agreed to buy let the kid buy a cigarette which I assume is illegal in Canada like in the us where i live . But I guess it was an excuse for a woman to steal ?
my people find it super nice when someone else wear our traditional outfits. It makes us happy to see other people are into it and wanna try it. I usually only see white americans with no heritage complaining about it when it comes to cultural appropriation. The people they “stand out for” usually dont mind either
