"planned obsolescence" they call it. on a relative note.. in USA there is a light bulb glowing brightly non-stop for over 100 years. we could be being scammed .. i still have to check out the new video 👍 will do
Theres so many more streamers and vloggers and bloggers in brisbane and all you get is this tiny small group ? :) maybe other people don't want to be socialise with other bloggers at all which is understandable. I know 5 people who are pretty high in making brisbane videos but do not like the been socialise with other competive bloggers which is understandable. Theres a few more in brisbane but this looks small group with just fans.. All the best. Dont think a younger blogger would want to mingle amond mid to older people around a table like that lol which is understandable. All the best
We had a few younger people attend - This was really mainly for people who follow those of us that are part of the 'Twisted visions' group - There's NO competition at all. I think the majority of people who watch youtube, are content to simply WATCH youtube, and not go out to meet those who make videos, and that's fair enough! This was MY 1st time ever in my *18 years of content creation* , that I ever went to a subscriber meetup. 👌👍🙂
PS, we had about 40 people attend, which wasn't too bad. It was a nice gathering, but speaking personally; MY channel has less the 50% of my subscribers in Australia, let alone Brisbane, and of course the relatively (I assume) few Brisbane viewers, that may have had any desire to attend, probably also had other plans for the day, being a weekend, and possibly might not have been able to find the place, since as I found out when I arrived (never been there before); there was NO SIGN for 'Frogs hollow'! - I walked up and down the street looking for it, and it was only due to 2 subscribers who were coming along, that asked was I there for the meet-up, that I found it! - It was upstairs from a library!! Also, as I live on the west-side of Brisbane, I know it cost me at least $50 for fuel and parking (turns out no free parking anywhere close) - So there's that factor to consider also. Yes; it's actually only within the last year or less, that I've discovered a lot more youtubers in Brisbane than I was ever aware of! A few, have many many more subscribers than any of us creators that were there - some good channels too among them - One guy I know of, has many hundreds of thousands of subscribers, and I believe; there's at least one channel that has something like 10 MILLION subscribers, although he's a gaming channel, not a vlogger per say.
I don't know... I don't watch TV as I don't like the content and I don't have a license (expensive) I've got one but it's got a DVD player and sockets for a computer screen and I've only used it a few times... I found it in a skip.. 😻
@@SteveMack I've got 2 mobile phones.. as I bought a new one (good but not super expensive) as my old one has a cracked screen and battery is starting to go.. I do prefer the UI.. It's about 8 years old.
Hay Buddy How did you find the colour accuracy out of the box 📦 did you have to change a lot of settings to get it accurate ect ??? Any info would be great 👍
Frankly; it's BRILLIANT! Of course, I do a lot of tweaking to my liking, but without doubt: this is the best picture quality I've ever seen on any TV, especially for movies! 👍👍
...I would have to sit down and *show you* for HOURS! So, no - not possible, other than to say there are _many_ settings that you can raise or lower: I always reduce the black levels, so I can just still see, but blacks are truly black in colour. I also always set sharpness to maximum, and contrast to around 80%. I also bring brightness down considerably - ultimately; it's whatever YOU think looks BEST, is what you should aim for... *Just take your time* (as with any TV) and tweak things as you like them, so the picture looks how you want it - everyone's tastes differ. 👌
Sorry, I prematurely ejected a comment without watching. In answer to your question, thank goodness for the invisible honorable public servants in addition to the corrupt ones, hiding in plain sight, or you'd have neither. Your newly, immaculately paved street, is, I suspect, courtesy of the latter.
I have NO DOUBT, it was due to needing to spend allocated budget, in order to increase next years budget. I first heard of that, many years ago when I was working for the government (not council, nor anything related to roads, but same scheme at all levels)
Hah! I can't comment on "city street works" Steve, 'cause as you know I don't live in a city. I did wonder where the other 10 workers were hiding, leaning on their shovels, looking all official and stuff, in this video. I live in a Locale, but if you Google it, it's described as a "village." It's nothing of the sort. When my dear ol' Ma & Pa came to visit for the first time after we moved here, (both hailing from an English Village,) they asked "Where are the shops?" Of course, there are no shops! When it rains heavily we have to navigate pot-holes that are often 2-3 feet in diameter and at least 1 foot deep at times. We only have a population of about 200 residents so, it's not a priority as far as the Council is concerned but they do eventually come out and "fill in" the holes but the material is almost always flushed out again the next time it rains! 😫Never mind. I'd rather rough it out here in splendour than brave the chaos of the city, any day of the week. Cheers, my friend.😘
@@SteveMack Hah! Well, you do have a point, I have no doubt that it would definitely be an issue in Brizzy, due to the population, of course! It doesn't seem to have any meaningful impact here though, the same crusty ol' constituents just go through the motions, year in, year out. It's not a matter of what you know, but who you know. I don't give a flyin' f@rk, to be honest anymore, I gave up years ago trying to make sense out of nonsense. Cheers!😂😘
It actually was nowhere near as bad, nor long, as the notice in the mail warned us of...and totally unnecessary anyway, as the street was in very good condition before resurfacing!👀
They seem to repair the potholes but after some decent rain they get washed out again. One pothole near me has been repaired 5 or 6 times in the last couple years, usually after rain.
I agree with you! I made a similar comment. I guess the Council's priorities revolve around the population, ergo, the overall traffic, which makes total sense, even though it's frustrating at times. Cheers.

Catching up with my sister is _always_ great - the curries, were very good, but I've had far hotter vindaloos. A bonus, was that we ate the leftovers for dinner.
Gawd Steve, you're makin' us work hard here! I simply could not reply to your "short," no matter how hard I tried. I have no feckin' clue why. It is what it is! So, I saved it, to your "Toob" main page, and, here we are! I LOVE authentic Indian food! It's so flavoursome. Cheers, friend. 😘
@@AussieBrit☝️ the Indian restaurants in Britain are something else.. ☝️🤎🙏 i used to have an english girlfriend and then ended up marrying an indian australian 🙏 😂 seriously is great cuisine 👍
You are correct in what you say, but some retailers / manufacturers do not care. With these they will either use any out as an excuse or ignore you. If you decide to continue with consumer protection then it may very well turn into a s**t fight which you don't want for your own well being. Not good. I refuse to buy any Hyundai cars for this reason. Just look at the class actions in play if you don't believe me. There is one about their defective motors and another for the defective paint.
Certain car issues especially, may well be a more complex matter, due to the potentially vast costs to rectify, on the onus of the manufacturer, but in either case, a good start is by contacting the ACCC;www.accc.gov.au/
Anyone ever say you look like you took the delicious leathery skin of Anthony Hopkins, and draped it over your face in a weird body snatcher situation?
Bought a phone at Jbhifi, the guy that sold it me BARKED at me, you can't return the phone to us, HMMMM I think I can. Was basically the first thing he said to me.
How old is the phone? Phone them and ask to speak to the store manager; he'll KNOW about Australian consumer law, and you could mention it - if (unlikely) they still don't offer a satisfactory solution, tell them you'll contact the ACCC about it...Thier details are here;www.accc.gov.au/about-us/contact-us-or-report-an-issue
