wow, the dance floor use to be huge, now it's a walk way room with maybe one cement block for dancers and fans. These millennials just love designing grassy lawn chair events venues.
I see Councilman Jeff Capell continues to be a clown. Asking about attendance and post event traffic on a stadium for 5,000 people like they don't host almost 100,000 people there every summer for Red White and Blueash..... Please stop voting for this clown.....
This area is long overdue for development. Downtown has taken a back seat to Summit Park for years and all I have seen on my walks for the last decade are vacant homes, a dilapidated garage/commercial building, and a shuttered bowling alley. Its pathetic for a city like Blue Ash. If you dont like the traffic, take Malsbary.
Ruby is such a pretty girl! I have a German Shepherd Dog who loves to stick her beak into everything, too. Gotta make sure they sniff all the sniffs, lol!
Will there be any more public input on the project? What is to be done with all the Veterans' bricks? How do Veterans feel about the specific service sculptures being so spread out and not in a circle around the flag pole? Does that mean there will be no seating on concrete/brick to view concerts? [Some of us are allergic to chiggers in the grass] Does this also mean there will no longer be any elevated levels to see concerts? Is the clock tower staying? Feel free to reach out to me privately with answers. Thank you.
This is gorgeous. We live .5 miles from this, on Cooper, and cannot wait to make this part of our evening walks. Would it be possible to upload a high resolution version of the video. I'd like to share this with people if you can. Thanks.... We LOVE BLUE ASH... Bob D.
I had to check the year when one claims a certain food based retail space is loved by a specific gender?! Oh yes we are in 2021 and the space is loved by all of the community.
My compliments to Blue Ash Council and administration during the Cornovirus situation were are in and the latest RU-vid recording. The recording has improved quite a bit, with the awareness of the participants on when to mute themselves. That simple act significantly improves viewability. A big topic was the acquisition of the Hosbrook property on the corner of Cooper and Kenwood. Also, there is a two week Public Comment period before voting on a new office building approval at Summit Park. It was particularly interesting and worthwhile to watch the discussion between the city staff and council near the end of the meeting. Good Job!
The Blue Ash city council has continued to use an internet video conference tool called Zoom for the April 23rd meeting which can be viewed on RU-vid at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J1cWDAebrnU.html Besides regular business, there were two presentations on Towne Square's initial planning concept and the Roundabouts. I have a few comments on the meeting and the Presentations on the plans for updating the downtown Towne Square. Concept A - I like the enhanced view of the Veterans Memorial. Concept B - Adding a play area is a good idea, as well as a small dog park. Also, adding a grove with a flexible layout is an excellent idea. The play area presented was a bit bare, but I understand the basic idea and support it. Concept C - The Veterans memorial layout is undesirable; the circular or curved arrangement is preferred, as shown in Concepts A & B. Also, at the end, it was good hearing from the staff and speaking on how they are working/adjusting to these new conditions. The Zoom video mtg coverage exceeded my expectations, even though there is some education needed or rather awareness on muting themselves when they are not talking. Overall, Good Job! The video recording is a winner!
Thanks Mayor, the Greater Cincinnati Earth Coalition appreciates the help and assistance the City of Blue Ash contributes to the Greater Cincinnati Earth Day Celebration held over the last three years at Summit Park. We look forward to next year. Take care and enjoy the beautiful day! Chuck Lohre, Chair, Greater Cincinnati Earth Coalition.
Oct 2022... they "started" last October bc if they didn't they were going to lose the Funding (from what the guy at speedway told us when they were forced to shutdown). Them "starting" consisted of shutting down speedway and then not touching the project until September when they decided to start construction on all 3 roundabouts at the same time. Idk whose idea this project was but i wouldn't be surprised if someone on city council was getting paid big bucks for making it happen
