We need this type of enforcement in nyc. Drivers have forgotten how to yield to pedestrians. I have so many videos of people just not caring. Scary to walk on our streets
I was driving from El Centro to Pine Valley one day. Approaching a hill going the speed limit (which was pretty high). A CHP officer on the median cut me off and drove right in front of me which caused me to slam on the brakes. Right over the hill was a carpark due to road construction right over the hill. He risked his life to slow me down for the impending disaster that would have caused.
0:32 I don't know who drive that black car but stop driving, please. 1:32 That white pickup was a little bit on the stiff side. I know he's not supposed to but not being by the book is not teh real problem. He was behind and at a safe distance. Anyway thanks for doing that. Pedestrian being hit are on the rise.
Get the slow drivers who are illegally driving in the #1 lanes as well. It is a passing and get out of the way only lane! Besides, you will be exiting right anyway.
Good job CHP! At first, I didn’t understand why the troopers were pulling everyone over for no reason, but then realized that it was a crosswalk enforcement :)
You all give motor bike riders a bad name, shame on you. Yes I have been riding for 40 years, most of you will be in a box in the next few years if you're not careful.
3:36 idiot logic 101. speed is rarely a factor in collisions because vehicles come equipped with this thing known as a brake pedal (or lever). not paying attention, tailgating, etc. cause accidents. not speeding.
Can tell he got cynical at the end of his career. With a month left I wouldn't be riding a mc on the freeway. Desk job please. Advice to new guys- you should have taken the fire exam.
Is it safe enough for officers on motorcycle to just wear shirts? Is there any gears or further protection for them? Because chasing on freeway isn't a safe thing, and also it could be freezing.
90% of America's drivers are complacent about ANY driving law, AND pedestrians get killed just as often by people in the country illegally AND KNOW NOTHING.
I am a new rider. I am from the US, retired in the Philippines. It can be argued here in PH that dogs on the road are the #1 cause of motorcycle crashes, injuries and death. Of course it is best to avoid. But what if you are going to hit the dog? I believe that locking up brakes and or sudden swerve is the worse thing to do. I believe that Holding on tight and taking the dog dead center is best. I rehearse this over and over in my mind. I repeat to myself, if in this last instant situation, hold on and say to myself: “Speed bump.” Hit the dog the same as if I suddenly came up on a speed bump too fast. Hold on and take the bounce and remain in control. The goal is to avoid going down in a crash. I am interested in what you would do if you are in a situation where you are going to hit a dog. What do you do in that final instant? Thank you.
I'm afraid the police are wrong, and I successfully took them to court over it. There's prior case law where the judge ruled that If there's almost no chance of the car hitting the pedestrian, the car can go through the crossing. In other words, if the pedestrian would have to break into a run, or double back for there to be an accident, the car can continue. As a pedestrian, I'd still prefer that the car stopped!😊
Here’s my question must you stop/yield even after they have passed the section in which you have your car. Must you stay stopped until they are out of the crosswalk or just until they are passed and it is safe for you to finally drive past the crosswalk.
