These ArkAngler reports are torturing me until I get back out later this summer! The Ark is my second favorite stream in Colorado behind the Conejos, my #1 stream for the trout and the scenery. But the Salida ArkAnglers fly shop has been my #1 favorite for supplies and advice. Memorable story, and true. I was standing at the Salida AA counter paying for some flies in 2016 and a voice behind me called out my name, and I ain't from these parts. Happened to be someone I met in Durango a few months earlier that summer at the Colorado airports conference I spoke at, someone who worked at DEN and also shared the fly fishing passion. Not a planned rendevous. Small world and all!

i found a nice 6 button rattle snake down at point barr the other day when i went fishing up there. Thanks for posting. i had luck on minnow patterns and also the white curly tail grub bite was crazy
